The role we are recruiting for is predominantly site-based, however we have a mix of work available including events and venues. The role would suit someone looking for either full-time or part-time hours. We can also offer immediate starts available for the right candidates.

The UK’s counter terrorism advice has evolved, and it matters for how we keep people safe.

You may be familiar with “Run, Hide, Tell”, but this has now been updated to “Guide, Shelter, Report.”

So what’s changed?

➡️ Guide - If it’s safe to do so, help direct people away from danger. Clear leadership can reduce panic and improve safe evacuation.
➡️ Shelter - Find and secure a safe place. Lock, block, and stay out of sight.
➡️ Report - Call 999 when safe, providing clear and accurate information to emergency services.

This shift reflects a more proactive, people-focused approach — particularly relevant for trained staff, stewards, and security teams who may be in a position to support others during an incident.

Every strong team starts with experienced leadership.

Kris Kaveney and Jason Neville founded Aphis Security with a shared aim: to build a security company focused on professionalism, preparation and doing the job properly.

Kris joined the security industry in 2002 and has been training security personnel since 2010. Over the years he has held SIA licences in Door Supervision, CCTV and Close Protection, and has particular experience in event management, health and safety, conflict management and physical intervention.

Jason began his career in the industry in 1989 and has held a number of senior roles across the sector, alongside experience working as a Close Protection Officer. Today he oversees the operational side of the business, focusing on planning, supervision and event delivery.

Between them they bring decades of frontline and leadership experience - something that shapes how we approach every deployment.
