We had a superb meeting this morning with some returning visitors from last meetings visitor day 🙌🏼

Today we said goodbye to Neil Floyd from Colourful Memories CIC who has been a member of BANG Padiham & Burnley for two years now. Neil has been very committed to the group, and has only missed one meeting in two years which is great. Today he shared with us how the group has helped him form new connections with local businesses, connections that would never have happened without attending each meeting. Well done Neil Floyd, your dedication has been superb, see you soon ❤️

Since Colourful Memories C.I.C. joined Padiham BANG two years ago, we have made some incredible connections in the health care sector. We wouldn't have made these connections otherwise. This weeks members spotlight was provided by Howard Howarth from H&F Accountants, who totally managed to turn the normally dull subject of accountancy in to a very informative and entertaining presentation 😆

Member spotlight.. this week Kayleigh Bowe from The Broker told us her story about leaving the banking industry in 2024, and how she joined her mum's mortgage agency to help their clients secure the most suitable mortgages, even if they have adverse credit.

Kayleigh had lots of stories about how she has helped client's move closer to getting their dream homes, even after other brokers or banks had said "NO". The team at The Broker look at the bigger picture, and if they can't find a solution straight away due to adverse credit, they put a plan in place to get them where they need to be.

In addition, they only charge a (highly competitive) broker fee on completion too, which we imagine gives a lot of confidence to the clients that choose to work with The Broker!

We know who we'll be recommending for mortgage advice from now on!!

Another great meeting of local business owners at Padiham BANG yesterday. Lot's of opportunities being passed around the room, and a fantastic presentation from Gill Rushworth Virtual Assistant, where we got to know more about Gill's journey that led her to setting up her own business, and how we can help her grow it.

There was a fascinating discussion about the art of short-hand.. but we still think it looks like hieroglyphics Gill!

Another banging meeting today at Padiham BANG.

It was the turn of Adam Robinson from Claritel Ltd to spend 10 minutes telling us all about the great IT & Telecoms services that Claritel provides to local businesses, along with an informative update on the cyber security risks that organisations of all sizes face today. There were lots of questions and engaging conversation afterwards, and the everyone took away some useful tips on how to protect themselves and their businesses.

It was great to see so many local businesses from a wide range of industries coming together to connect, collaborate, and support each other. The energy in the room was brilliant, and the conversations were full of ideas, inspiration, and opportunity.

Neil from Colourful Memories CIC delivered an informative, emotional and very personal presentation at our last Padiham BANG meeting. Neil, through his CIC, provides unique materials and support services to people with Dementia, whilst also providing full time care to his mother. He's truly a hero without the cape!
