It was great to work on something a little different with this recent fire alarm installation and commissioning at an eco office and conference space in Glastonbury.

The system was designed and installed in accordance with the requirements identified within the Client’s Fire Risk Assessment, helping provide an appropriate level of fire detection and warning for the premises.

A really interesting project to be involved with, and a great opportunity to work alongside cdelectrical20 to deliver the completed installation.

We recently received a last-minute call from one of our property agent partners, urgently needing a replacement FD30S fire door due to damage that impacted both compliance and the ability to let the property.

Our team was on it, quickly surveying, installing, and signing off on the new fire door to meet all necessary fire safety regulations. 🛠️🔥

Thanks to our fast action, the property is now compliant, and the agent can move forward with letting the property—ensuring both the safety of residents and peace of mind for everyone involved. 👏🏡

We’re proud to share the completion of a recent project delivered on behalf of , forming part of the first scheme under Build Torbay’s Hotels to Homes initiative.

It’s great to see this property now open its doors, and we were delighted to be appointed to install a fire safety system that fully met the designer’s requirements. The system incorporates terminations to an Automatic Opening Vent (AOV), sprinkler system, and multiple door access control interfaces, ensuring a compliant and integrated fire safety solution throughout the building.

A big thank you to Ben and his team at Armada Property UK for the opportunity — we look forward to working with you again in the future.

We’re always committed to growing our knowledge and strengthening our EAL recognition — and we’re proud to share that our Managing Director has just passed the EAL Level 3 Award in the Requirements of Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems for Buildings (BS 5839-1:2025), missing only one mark. 👏🔥

The recent updates to BS 5839-1:2025 now state that any fire contractor working on your fire alarm systems must be certified by a third-party certification body operating under a UKAS-accredited certification scheme.
These changes help ensure that the requirements set out in the amended Fire Safety Order are properly met and that building owners receive competent, compliant fire safety services.

If you’re looking for a company that meets these standards and can support your fire safety needs, please feel free to get in touch — we’d love to help

We’ve recently completed the survey, installation, and final sign-off of multiple fire doors throughout the GSL warehouse to ensure they meet auditor requirements and provide maximum safety.

All works were carried out in full compliance with BS 8214:2016 – Code of Practice for Fire Door Assemblies, ensuring that every door is installed to the highest standard of safety and performance.

By taking care of the entire process in-house – from survey through to professional installation and certification – we’ve provided GSL with complete peace of mind that their fire safety measures meet both British Standards and auditor expectations.
