Hero to zero … it can happen.
11 years ago at the august sundsvall event we had a superb two days of qualifying , records broken , great weather, pretty close to perfect. But finals day was a different world ,cold temperatures and moisture in the air. The track just disappeared and had to do more prep mid eliminations of top doorslammer to bring it back the best I could. At the time we were using VP LC7 traction compound. I used it from malmo , Malta to Abu Dhabi with excellent results. Back on race day the rain did come in just before pro mod and the day was done. I spoke with the vp traction compound developer that week and told the story. One component in the traction compound reacted badly to the low temperatures and moisture in the air. With that in mind and what the location gave us regarding weather the decision was made to switch to another product . Nothing wrong with the vp lc7 just didn’t suit that location when the weather wasn’t that great.

Sometimes idea’s maybe shouldn’t be executed 🤣
This memory from 10 years ago will stay with me forever. I donated my services to malmo raceways race4dreams charity event. Staying at the malmo arena hotel. Casually walked through the lobby in character saying “god morgon” to the receptionist then jumping into the car just waiting outside which was an bmw i8 that Daniel Hansson arranged. Stayed in character all day long in the heat and we still delivered a top doorslammer 3.7 track🥰👊

First thing in the morning and into the evening shots on the same day in temperatures of 37c. You got to put the hours in to get the results. This was Halfar Raceway few years back on the beautiful island of Malta when I was there. Construction neighbours and Sahara rain covered the track in dust but it got back into shape in 12 hours.
