This week’s Club Connect members spotlight, is the wonderful Tammi Gaw.

Tammi is a US qualified attorney, global sports business strategist and professional facilitator now based in Scotland. With a background that also includes sports medicine and executive management, she doesn’t just work in sports—she steps in when systems, strategy, and accountability start pulling a team in different directions.
For more than 25 years, Tammi has worked across nearly every corner of the sports world including law, strategy, business development, and global compliance. She connects dots others don’t notice until something goes sideways, often across borders, cultures, and organizations. Tammi’s work is especially meaningful in women’s sports, where the upside is enormous and the stakes are finally getting the attention they deserve.
Tammi thrives where ambition, accountability, and “wait, did the lawyers say this was OK?” collide. She helps organizations:
▪️launch new initiatives and expand into new markets
▪️navigate global partnerships and cross-border relationships
▪️build systems that protect athletes without killing momentum
A core part of her work is building high-trust relationships with international federations, leagues, clubs, sponsors, governing bodies, regulators, and athlete representatives across multiple continents—and getting them aligned long enough to actually accomplish something.
Tammi serves on and advise boards on governance, fiduciary oversight, and long-term strategy, and works directly with executive leadership teams to navigate decisions before they become messy.
Tammi often calls herself a professional facilitator —she knows a lot of people across a lot of industries, and likes introducing the right ones to each other so good ideas move faster. She speaks internationally to board, executive, legal, academic, and policy audiences on leadership, governance, innovation, and building systems that bring out the best in teams and organisations.
This year, Tammi is excited to combine her love of real estate and travel. She has joined the team of a boutique international real estate firm and is working with sports professionals and HNWI by providing concierge service for global commercial and residential real estate investment.

Many thanks to everyone who attended the Club Connect Business Buddies networking event, kindly hosted by our guest speaker, Jason Naismith at his new state-of-the-art performance and rehabilitation facility. JN Fitness and Rehab

Jason’s story, from retiring from professional football through injury to building a successful new business, was both inspiring and insightful. It was fantastic to hear how he overcame numerous challenges with resilience and determination, turning adversity into opportunity.

Today, Jason is using his experience and expertise to help young people and footballers maximise their potential, improve performance, and recover from injury. His passion for supporting others to achieve their goals was evident throughout his presentation.

Thank you, Jason, for sharing your journey and giving our members and guests a fascinating insight into life after football and the vision behind your new venture.

Meet Jason Naismith

From the football pitches of Paisley to building one of Scotland’s fastest-growing rehabilitation and performance facilities, Jason Naismith has a story of resilience, leadership, and reinvention that is guaranteed to inspire.

A product of the renowned youth system at St Mirren F.C., alongside future Scottish internationals John McGinn and Kenny McLean, Jason rose through the ranks to captain the first team and make more than 110 appearances for the club.

His career, however, was far from straightforward. After suffering a devastating ACL rupture while captaining St Mirren, Jason battled his way back to continue his professional journey with Ross County, Peterborough United, Hibernian and Kilmarnock.

Throughout his career, Jason endured multiple serious knee injuries, including two cruciate ligament injuries and two meniscus injuries, requiring four major operations in total. These setbacks would test even the strongest mindset, yet each challenge became an opportunity to learn, adapt and grow. After helping Kilmarnock secure the league title, a fourth major knee operation ultimately brought his playing career to a close.

Determined to prepare for life beyond football, Jason began building his future while still playing. Alongside his football career, he’s currently in his 4th year distance-learning degree in Sport and Exercise Science at Manchester Metropolitan University, while competing at the professional level. He also worked as a personal trainer at David Lloyd Clubs, gaining valuable experience that would shape his future career.

Jason then took the leap into business, launching his own rehabilitation and performance facility. Just one year later, the business has grown to a team of three coaches, supporting more than 100 people every week on their fitness, recovery and performance journeys.

Today, Jason combines the lessons learned from elite sport, injury recovery, academic study, entrepreneurship and family life to help others overcome challenges and achieve their goals. A devoted husband, father, business owner and former professional footballer, his message is simple but powerful:

Setbacks don’t define you — how you respond to them does.
