🤝 Sometimes, it just takes a collective voice to get things done.

Recently, we worked with Westmorland and Furness Council to help get the footpath between Penrith Industrial Estate and Myers Lane resurfaced. Strictly speaking, the path wasn't actually within the BID area, but we'd received so many comments from businesses and people using the route about its condition that we felt we had to raise it.

And following the work, we received some really lovely feedback from people telling us what a difference the new surface had made. It's a great example of one of the benefits of having a Business Improvement District.

With more than 150 businesses across Penrith Business Parks, we have a much stronger collective voice. We can't promise to solve every problem, and some things will inevitably sit outside our control, but we can ask the questions, speak to the right people and advocate on behalf of our businesses.

So, a reminder to all our levy-paying businesses: please tell us when something is affecting you. Whether it's an issue with access, parking, planning, waste, infrastructure or something else that's making it harder for you to do business, shout up.

If we don't know about it, we can't help. And if it's affecting several businesses, there can be real strength in tackling it together.

That's what the BID is here for. 💪
