It is our great honour to introduce the last in the list of artists at our Spring Market Event: Resident Potter Extraordinaire, Chief Artist Wrangler and Head Girl of the Creative Exchange, Ceri White, has many titles. We absolutely love her and wouldn't have such an incredble community of artists without her.

She is the mastermind and powerhouse that builds our Market events from the ground up! 💪

Head up the stairs to the Open Studios to find Ceri in 204. Her studio is a treasure trove of colourful pottery and she'll be doing demos throughout the weekend!

Ceri produces unique earthenware ceramics in her studio at Perth Creative Exchange. Her wheel-thrown vesssels are mainly inspired by a 1970s childood, incorporating many a hint of her early doodles and fascination with post-war homewares and décor. Add to that a love of the microscopic worlds of nature and we have an unlike soup of inspiration which constantly evolves and keeps her work fresh.

Ceri will be welcoming everyone to her studio for our Spring event; she'll be demonstrating wheel-throwing all weekend,-, as well as selling her lovely colourful ceramics straight from the studio where they are made and fired!

Morven Stewart is our penultimate artist and a mad force behind our Spring Event this weekend! 🙌🏼🤸🏼‍♀️🎨

What can we say about our talented, ink-stained dynamo? 🤔 We never know where she's off to next and we strongly suspect that neither does she. 😂 She never stops drawing. She never stops plotting. We're not entirely sure she sleeps. 😂

Come and immerse yourself in Morven's adventures in Studio 217! 🎨🙌🏼🖌️

Morven’s wanderings take her from snow-capped summits to sandy shores. With a studio base at the Perth Creative Exchange, her practice is largely nomadic, working from a rucksack or bike panniers as she travels across Scotland.

The weather dictates her materials: watercolours and inks for glorious days in the sunshine, oils and pastels for ferocious gales and roaring storms. What emerges are paintings shaped by the moment they were made, capturing the feeling of the land and sea.

In her studio you can nosy through her sketchbooks, view route plans and maps, explore her paintings and postcards from her travels.

We're nearly there! And next on our talent list is Zoe of Thistlemoss! 🙌🏼 First time with us at Perth Creative Exchange!

Specialising in screen printing and textile design, perfect as a gift accompanied by a Thistlemoss greeting card 🎉 or something for yourself if you just can’t resist!

A childhood exploring the beaches of the East Neuk and the historic ruins of St.Andrews has had a strong influence on Zoe's work, which can be seen in her screen printed cards and textiles. Printing with eco-friendly inks, and using intricate pattern and vibrant hues on natural linen to create cosies, bags and cushions. Coasters, tea towels and trays compliment her range for a pop of coastal kitchen colour.

An essential part of our Spring Market is Hooper Hart! 🌱🙌🏼
Our own talented Cal, creating unique laser cut wooden accessories and one-of-a-kind dioramas depicting scenes around Scotland, make sure you don’t miss out on Hooper Hart this weekend! 🏞️

Hooper Hart was established by Cal Scott in 2015. Since graduating in 1997 from Edinburgh College of Art with a BA Hons in Design & Applied Arts, Cal has worked in various media including ceramics, graphic design and textiles.
Driven by a long-held interest in printmaking and a love of colour and surface pattern, Cal started screen-printing on plywood in 2015, which gradually developed into an interest in layering, but using wooden layers rather than printed layers.
She now uses these techniques in the creation of framed and boxed dioramas, incorporating hand-painted laser-cut ply, matt board and paper. Influenced by her time working on stage sets in the theatre, and inspired by analogue animation, storytelling, folklore and wildlife, these one-off pieces are complemented by a selection of wearables and accessories for the home to provide a range of products with wide appeal.
