LATEST MAJOR PCB LAYOUT COMPLETED

Board comprised of 8 layers and approximately 1000 components with various placement restrictions. Completed in just over 3 weeks.

All our boards are routed manually to produce the best layouts in terms of signal integrity, power distribution, signal speed, manufacturability, circuit compactness and of course operation.

NEWS: Over the last 18 months, investment at European Circuits Limited has continued with the installation of additional equipment in both our PCB Manufacturing Area and PCB Assembly Area.

The investment in excess of £350,000 includes an additional CNC Drill / Routing Machine, additional ATE tester, Solder Paste Inspection System, several new Pick & Place machines and a 3D AOI System. The installation of this equipment improves our efficiency and ensures we are at the leading edge of PCB manufacture and assembly in the UK.

Interestingly it was designing and producing a solid state replacement for a unit that used a tube called a thyratron back in 1984 that kick-started Wilkie Electronics.

The unit was a configurable bistable module that was used in machines that put crisps into packets for Golden Wonder in Broxburn. The thyratron at that time was obsolete and replacements to keep these machines going were very expensive as they had to be made specially.

The solid state replacement that was designed, built and supplied by Wilkie Electronics was a direct plug in replacement and created the foundations of the business.

ELECTRONIC REPAIR SECTION IS NOW CLOSED

We have decided to close our electronic repair services section.

As Wilkie Electronics moves into a new era we have decided to concentrate our time solely on PCB Design and our Research and Development operations which were always the core strengths of the business.

Therefore please do not send any items for repair, but if you do have a major issue you can always call us and we can discuss any options that may be open to you.

Thanks to all our customers who have used this service in the past.

Please note all other services are operational as normal.
