When I decided to grow Dancing Queen Admin Services from a solo VA into a small agency model, I knew I wanted to do things a little differently.

I didn't want to win a client and then scramble around trying to find someone who could do the work.

Instead, I've spent time building relationships first.

Over the last few years, I've connected with other Virtual Assistants, freelancers and specialists through networking, recommendations and simply getting to know people on LinkedIn through their content.

Because if I'm going to hand part of a client's business over to someone else, I need to know that person is credible and trustworthy.

I wouldn't recommend or bring someone into my team if I wouldn't be happy putting my own business in their hands.

So, rather than having a huge team of people who all do the same thing, I've built a network of trusted specialists with different skills, including:

Gotta laugh when a company goes on about being all authentic and genuine blah blah and their whole business is set up by AI, dodgy website, no links working, stolen photos from Google, AI responses - you call them out, and they immediately block you! 🤣🤣

Be very wary of AI-only accounts! Do your due diligence.

It's Friday 💃💃💃

Digging deep this week: lots of broken sleep, updates, networking, potential leads, and worries about the ever-increasing cost of living - saw Petrol for £180.9 yesterday 😱😱 government needs to act now, but there's more chance of pigs flying 🐖.

It's strange as my business has grown, yet I still feel at the same level I was 18 months ago, and it's all due to the cost of living growing up and up and up. Psychologically, I feel this is impacting us more than we realise and why imposter syndrome still creeps in from time to time and why a lot of us are feeling exhausted from the mental drain of it all.

As many people keep saying, I am amazing and doing an awesome job!

Anyhow, the website is updated. A little project that has taken up some of my spare time over the last 6 weeks.

Well, this morning's new Synergy Founders Club in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, certainly gave us all education and food for thought.

Thank you to Stephen Spencer for organising this new, unique event to bring together an array of people with and without neurodiversity. Some real insights and shocking statistics from Liz Taylor Red 2 Green about the lack of employment for people with neurodiversity.

What followed was a great intro round and open floor in a safe space to discuss business challenges in this area and for those school leavers who have no idea where to turn to start a business.
