Does anyone else feel like they spend so much time online they basically live their life here? What with social interactions, working, emails, events, watching films... As an introvert I certainly don't hate any of that, but even I (as a self-confessed homebody), am starting to miss real-life connections.

It's made more difficult by the fact I'm classed as vulnerable and have been shielding for almost 6 months(!) and to be honest, I'm pretty fearful of now going out again as things are returning to how they were before lockdown.

And I'm missing running events. For obvious reasons in-person events haven't been able to take place. The monthly events at Digital People in Peterborough - DPiP were originally set up as a a place for real-life interactions for those who spend a lot of time working remotely. So it seemed ironic to move those events online.

Going forward it seems like that might be an option so everyone can be included. And as a digital community we can continue to create connections which are so needed right now.
