Tomorrow (Friday 12th) should see some more guidance issued on the Flexible Furlough Scheme (FFS)...

I have created a "Coffee And Chat Flexible Furlough Scheme Special" for Monday (15th) afternoon (1530) so the accountants in my community can talk about how it might affect them and their clients.

These meetings are a casual event and contain very little (if any) content from me. They are just a safe place for you to share and ask questions of your peers.

To come along just reply "Yes please" in the comments and I will send you an invite.

The meeting is not open to vendors to the profession so please don't ask ;-)

If you know any accountants who you think would find value in this meeting please feel free to share.

Celynn Morin's Top Tips For Getting A Good Night's Sleep...

Lot’s of accountants in the community have told me that they are struggling to get a good night’s sleep at the moment.

Obviously, they are under much pressure, working in unusual circumstances and have a lot on their mind.

In this short meeting, Celynn (My Wellness coach) will share her top tips for getting a good nights sleep.

As always, there will be a Q&A so you can ask Celynn any questions you need the answer too.

To come along just comment "yes please" below (or send me a message) and I'll send you the link to reserve your seat.

If you can’t make the live event, please register, and I’ll send you a recording as soon as it is ready.

It is Sally's (my wife's) birthday today and she has received this brilliant present from one of her friends. I'll be using them to say thank you in the future!

I am always looking for inspirational ways to say thank you to customers (referrals) and other people who help me out. Something different to the usual bottle of drink...

What gifts do you use to say thank you?

What’s the strangest training course you have ever experienced?

Today I have been on one of the best training courses I have ever been on.

It was truly enlightening and thought proving in so many ways. I learnt a huge amount about myself and how I interact with other people and “teams”. It is almost magical how the horses pick up on your emotions and act as a mirror.

I am making plans to repeat the experience next year (April ish). If you fancy coming along send me a message and I’ll let you have more details once I know them.

Have you done an unusual course?

Michael Hemme allowed me to share the dramatic changes he has made to his numbers in his accountancy practice over the last few years at Accountex.

Michael has agreed to let me interview him (via an online meeting, probably at the end of July) on the top ACTIONS he took to get the results he has achieved.

Now…

If we try and cover all four numbers in one session it could easily take a day!

So, for this first session, can you let me know in the comments below which one you think we should concentrate on to create the most impact…

1. How he increased his average fees per client from £1,375 to £3,426, whilst only increasing the number of clients from 229 to 240;
2. How he increased the amount he collected on Direct Debit from £3,000 to £32,000 per month;
3. How he reduced his debtors from 95 days to minus 18 days!; or,
4. How he doubled his team and one team member started looking after £150,000 of GRF.

Just type 1, 2, 3 or 4 in the comments below and I’ll make sure the questions I ask focus around that KPI.

Thanks in advance…

There was a great example of why I started the FaceBook group for accountants yesterday.

A member posted a request, he got almost instant support and then implemented what he learned. Brilliant. 👏👏👏

I also rediscovered Stripe!

One of the most powerful parts of any mastermind are the questions you get asked. The better the questions, the better the solutions and, ultimately, the better the action that gets taken.

Every Friday, in the Facebook group See https://www.facebook.com/groups/AccountantsMG, we publish a question to help provoke the members brain cells into action. For the next few weeks I'll share them on this page as well. Here’s this week’s question…

“With whom in my practice have I done a poor job of CLEARLY stating the objectives, deliverables and outcomes required from a team member?”

If a name comes up it is your responsibility to put that right. If they don’t know what is expected of them, how on earth can they hope to achieve it!

As always, if you need some support, please message me; otherwise, share your actions and the successes in the comments below.

To be a part of the conversation that is happening in the group go to https://www.facebook.com/groups/AccountantsMG
