I am an art business coach and consultant with 35 years of relevant experience. More significantly I was the Founder, and until 2021 the Director of Art in the Heart. Previously I traded at international fairs and led hands on the Art the Heart 2 floor gallery,shop and hub on the high street, exhibiting and selling the work of approx. 100 artists, staging regular exhibitions and rolling out work e

xperience programmes for young people. It became the unique marketplace it is today in 2017 www.artintheheart.co.uk. Before that I spent many years in teaching and training. I have good experience in marketing and selling - face to face and online including social media and email marketing. I first started selling online in 2001 and set up my first page in 2012! I have basic graphic design skills using Canva, basic film editing skills using Filmora, and basic anatytics skills using Google Analytics. I can write good content for social media, copy for websites, and articles for magazines I was a regular contributor for a regional magazine for a decade. I have also been included in art based journals and contributed to art catalogues. My first degree was in Languages. I have a Masters Degree in Arts Market Appraisal, and since just before Lockdown have run a much needed art business consultancy. I mentor artists guiding them through their marketing and selling journey. I also offer an artist narrative writing service which I love to do - encapsulating all the dreams, hopes and passion of artists who want to share. My coaching sessions give essential insights into selling art and craft. I currently offer an introductory hour long session for artists and makers wanting to sell their work, and refreshers for the more experienced in the field. My reviews show that my sessions change mindsets, and are fun and revelatory. I help with nitty gritty topics such as pricing, the artist narrative, online and face to face selling, making a profit and much more. I am empathetic yet straight talking, ambitious yet realistic.
