FossilMap Update

A small but important update has just gone live for both FossilMap and the FossilMapped database.

You can now record the geological stage of a find (for example Hettangian, Sinemurian, Toarcian etc.) rather than just the broader period like “Jurassic”. This makes recording much more useful scientifically and helps researchers better understand exactly where finds sit in the geological timeline. -Thank you Jacob for this suggestion.

🔧 Other improvements in this update:
• BibTeX export button fixed
• Improved search for the FossilMapped database
• A few minor bug fixes and tweaks

The aim is to keep making FossilMap a simple but powerful field tool for collectors, geologists and palaeontologists — while helping ensure important finds are recorded properly.

As always, feedback is very welcome and indeed needed......
