CNC MACHINIST & MULTI SKILLED

We are looking for an experienced Machinist to join our team in Old Deer.

The successful candidate will have proven experience operating a range of conventional & CNC machining equipment and be confident working to high standards of accuracy & quality.

Essential Machine Experience, candidates must be competent & experienced with:

Manual & CNC Lathes
Milling machines
Drilling machines
Slotting machines
Giddings & Lewis Union Horizontal CNC Borers
Vertical machining centres (VMC)
XYZ Machines
Webster CNC Machines
Webster Manual Machines
RLX Lathes

Key Responsibilities:

Setting & operating a variety of machining equipment.
Producing precision components to drawing specifications.
Reading & interpreting engineering drawings.
Carrying out quality checks using inspection equipment.
Working with a range of materials & machining requirements.
Maintaining a safe & tidy working environment.

Skills & Experience Required:

Proven experience in a machine shop environment.
Strong knowledge of CNC & manual machining processes.
Ability to work independently & as part of a team.
Good attention to detail & commitment to quality.
Experience with one off & small batch precision engineering preferred.

We’re throwing it back this Friday when thistle manufactured and installed electric power block heads to a net store and a wide barrel power block head for a net lorry.

It’s great to look back on projects our team manufactured and installed.
