What a fantastic evening at the BGN Pub Quiz held at The Half Moon Pub, all in support of the incredible Rosemary Foundation.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended, we were delighted to raise over £150 on the night for a charity that provides such valuable care and support within our community.

A special thank you must go to our quizmaster, John Raeyen who did a brilliant job of keeping the questions flowing, the competition fierce and the laughs coming throughout the evening.

But, is it a Hat or a Cat.

Events like these are a great reminder of what can be achieved when local businesses and the community come together for a good cause. It was wonderful to see so many people getting involved, enjoying themselves and helping raise money for a truly deserving charity.

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated and supported the event. We look forward to the next one!

This Wednesday, we're looking forward to hearing from long-standing BGN member Graham Crane of Astute Security Ltd.

Covering Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex, Astute Security Ltd provide security solutions for a changing world, helping both homeowners and businesses protect their properties.

When people hear the word networking, they often picture a room full of business cards, sales pitches and awkward introductions.

BGN couldn't be further from that.

Yes, we're a business networking group. Yes, referrals are exchanged and opportunities are created. But after meeting every Wednesday for years, something much more valuable has happened.

We've become a community.

Every week, business owners from completely different industries come together around the breakfast table. We celebrate each other's successes, support each other through challenges, offer advice when it's needed, and occasionally give each other a little bit of stick when it's deserved!

From accountants to gardeners, marketers to locksmiths, printers to travel experts, estate agents to kitchen designers, we all have one thing in common: a genuine desire to help one another succeed.

The referrals are important, but the friendships are priceless.

Many of our members have worked together for years. Some have become clients of each other, some have become trusted advisers, and many have become friends. That's what makes BGN special.

It's not about rules, pressure or targets. It's about relationships, trust and supporting local businesses in a way that benefits everyone.

A huge thank you to David Bailey from Thornesfor this week's 10-minute presentation... although it may have stretched a little closer to 15 minutes! 😄

It was a real pleasure to hear David's story, from how the business first started to the impressive company Thorness has become today. David shared the journey of growth, the challenges along the way, and the values that have helped shape the business into what it is now.

One thing that really stood out was the pride David has in having his son, Jack, working alongside him. It's clear that Thorness is more than just a business – it's a family legacy being built for the future.

Thank you, David, for an engaging, honest and entertaining presentation. We learned a lot and enjoyed every minute of it.

Every now and then, we like to mix things up at BGN, and this week was no exception!

Our challenge was a "Face Swap" 60 Seconds, where members had to stand up and deliver someone else's 60-second presentation as if they were that person. As you can imagine, the results ranged from impressive to absolutely hilarious!

One performance stood head and shoulders above the rest. Ali Dolphin didn't just present Simon from Barn Store... he became Simon from Barn Store. From the mannerisms to the delivery, Ali captured the very essence of Simon and had the room in stitches.

It was a brilliant effort and a thoroughly deserved win, something I think everyone in the room agreed on. 👏🏆

Well done, Ali, and thanks to everyone who threw themselves into the challenge and made it such a fun morning. It's these moments that make BGN such a unique and enjoyable networking group.
