It’s my Birthday 🥳

Yes, I am still working currently, but I have tomorrow off!!

A weekend filled with days out, surprises, and a spot of camping. So whilst I make my final list to pack (90% is already done). I will be working to a random mix playlist and taking an extra long lunch break, so if I don’t answer, you know I have got lost in packing or the music.

It’s National Growing for Wellbeing Week, and whilst I may not work in the wellbeing unless it’s client support, I do love my garden.

My garden is a work in progress as we are always coming up with ideas. We have landscaped it over the years, and there have been some massive changes. The one thing I am now missing is a mini greenhouse, as my polytunnel unfortunately didn’t survive the stormy weather. 😭

But why do I love my garden?

It’s my sanctuary and laptop-free zone. I can listen to the birds and work on my plants in peace. It’s also where I can teach my son about growing plants and edibles (his strawberry plants are a win).

Whilst I haven’t shown any of my veg yet, it’s still got some work to do. I have shown two of my favourites, which are blooming beautifully at the moment, just in time for my birthday!

We have reached level 6 of 2026 🙌

As we enter the summer months and more importantly my birthday month 😜 June is looking good!

Back at the Treehouse we have been squirrelling away with plans and events for you. I am happy to report June’s sessions are going to diary appointments you don’t want to miss.

First up we have coffee and chat on the 9th June at 10am, and we welcome back Rafiat for another thought provoking session. So if you are looking for clarity and wanting to get off the seesaw of life then this one is for you.

Also I highly recommend joining us just to hear Rafiat, she is one amazing lady and her enthusiasm is infectious!

Later in the month we are taking a relaxing tone at our Coffee and Well-being session. Join us on the 19th June for a masterclass in taming anxiety. Sarah will be leading this session and helping us to overcome stress. Everyone is welcome to this session.

So buckle in for June, and I really hope you can join Lucy and myself.

It has been an eventful month with saying goodbye to one client (all on good terms) and saying hello and welcome to another. 🥳

Team B has been kept well and truly busy and I wouldn’t want any other way. From personal house/garden projects, and deciding on my future car (seriously why is it hard!). To interesting client tasks it has been jammed packed.

So work wise what have I been up?
- Researching a trip for a clients band meet up
- Reports and finding some obscure dates ( you know who you are!)
- Reviewing systems for a new client
- Getting socials and videos prepped for a couple of others
- Scheduling dates for appointments and making sure all clients are fully aware
- Getting back into Treehouse tribe
- Newsletters, blogs, social posts, loving nags, and cheers when they succeed
All in a month with a school holiday, and another bank holiday. So yup I have been busy but that’s how I want it.

June is nearly here which can only mean it’s birthday month!
Yes I will be ready to hit June with a bounce and hopefully it will bring some warm sunshine with it. I expect it will be busy on the client front, but also on the birthday front.

We don’t just celebrate my birthday, nope it’s my whole households ( they share theirs) so I will be planning parties, getting organised for presents and planning a few surprises along the way.

I love to receive these little notes from clients.

I recently got asked to do some research for a band meet up and was looking at options for music studio, restaurants and accommodation and possibly a good spot for a drink.

I like to class it as a ‘Google holiday’ as I work with maps, street view and check out deals. This one was quite fun, as I even looked up local music on in the evening.

Whilst the group decides the options, I can complete this task happy that I have made someone’s life a little easier.

Jobs where I get to do something different is always a bonus for me, and working with clients who appreciate it is the icing on the top.

Trying to juggle work, school holidays, the bank holiday… and still keep your business moving? This is your reminder that you don’t have to do it all alone.

The bank holiday and school holidays are looming… so tell me, are you panicking or strategically planning your week?

Mine is definitely looking chilled, but ask me again next Thursday!

Thankfully, thanks to my mum, I’ll be able to get stuck into some of my creative tasks while my son is happily entertained over the bank holiday. It really does take a village sometimes.

And just like my two cats pictured, I fully intend to make the most of the moments when it’s finally time to relax and recharge too 🐾

Because sometimes the best thing you can do for your business is get support where you need it, whether that’s at home, in life, or through VA support helping take those time-draining tasks off your plate.

Now… if someone could just bring the warm weather back, that would be great ☀️

We are glued to our screens most days, whether it’s client work, socials, or virtual meetings. Now I’m not saying down the laptops and get back to writing letters by hand ( I am a sucker for a nice pen and notebook 😜) but we do need a break for the screen.
I took my own advice and gave myself a little break away from the laptop, thinking about work and got back to enjoying some hobbies. Being a business owner and mum means I do my best to balance both. Whilst easier said than done, I have been working a bit extra to catch up from the school hols last month (my choice), but come the weekends it’s my time.
I decided to to my own advice and gave myself a break. The weather last weekend wasn’t great but we worked around it, and did get a lot done. But I am happy to say I enjoyed completing a puzzle, something I haven’t done for quite a while. It didn’t require laptop skills, booking meetings or taking notes, but it did give me time to relax and focus solely on the puzzle.

Password creation is getting harder!
We all know there’s robots in the room, and no matter how hard you try you need to have a complex password for everything. The dogs name just won’t cut it anymore!
So in light of world password day here are three tips to use in your business and personal life for passwords:
1. A password manager - software like lastpass are great so sharing passwords safely and keeping all your passwords in one place. With my job it is a matter of requirement and I always tell clients to never tell me their passwords.
2. 2FA Authentication - having an authentication app for your socials and emails is really the next level for keeping you safe. You may have come across it on Microsoft or Meta, and really isn’t that hard to get use to. So get it sorted for your systems.
3. Review your system if you have a team - people can come and go so make sure you regularly check who has access to your systems. You don’t want to leave anything to chance. These maybe common practice in your business, but it’s always worth do a check if you have doubts. The last thing you want is to be hacked so please do take care with sensitive information.
