A recent project came with a condition from an insurer to install fire prevention in a sauna, and when you think about it, it makes sense.

High heat, dry timber. Put it all together and, as Phil puts it… it’s basically kindling. It’s not always the obvious areas that carry the biggest risks.

That’s why more sites are taking a proactive approach, putting the right protection in place before anything goes wrong.

Behind the scenes at The Falmouth Hotel, we’ve been installing fire suppression inside a sauna, a space most people wouldn’t immediately think of as high risk.

But with high temperatures, dry timber, and electrical elements, it’s an environment where fire can take hold quickly if something goes wrong.

That’s why systems like CQRS are being installed - to detect and suppress a fire right at the source, before it has a chance to spread.
