HOW is it September already?! 😅

Where on earth did those 6 weeks go?!

It feels like the summer holidays have only just started, and yet schools are already starting to return this week! 📚

We hope all of our amazing Thrive staff have had a brilliant summer break, enjoyed some well-deserved downtime and are feeling refreshed, recharged and ready for another school year!

And, of course, we couldn’t head into a new academic year without finding another way to recognise and reward the fantastic people who make Thrive what it is.

We’re delighted to announce that from September, we’re increasing our Educator Award Gift Card of the Month from £25 to £50!🎉

We’re supporting a local college in Plymouth with the recruitment of an experienced Data Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis.

💰 £36,070 per annum
⏰ 37 hours per week – Full Time
📍 Plymouth
📄 Permanent Position

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys turning complex data into meaningful insights and wants to play a key role in improving how data, reporting and automation are used across an organisation.

The role will involve:

🔹 Developing interactive dashboards, reports and visualisations
🔹 Identifying trends and turning data into actionable insights
🔹 Working with multiple and complex data sources
🔹 Developing automated and scalable reporting solutions
🔹 Working extensively with SQL and Microsoft SQL Server
🔹 Supporting the development of BI, analytics and data science tools
🔹 Creating SQL automations and triggers
🔹 Helping reduce manual processes through better use of technology and automation

We’re looking for someone with:

✅ Strong SQL skills and Microsoft SQL Server experience
✅ Experience developing dashboards and reports
✅ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
✅ Experience working with complex datasets and multiple data sources
✅ Knowledge of tools such as Power BI, Python, R or Google Data Studio
✅ A proactive approach and the ability to work independently

A degree or equivalent in Data Analytics, Computer Science or a related subject is desirable, with a relevant Level 3 qualification also considered.

🏆 Our final Educator Awards of the Month for this school year!

Our final educator award of the month for this school year. With it being the last one and so many amazing options we have selected three fantastic Thrive Educators for July.

🌟 Kirsty

Kirsty joined Thrive in October 2025 whilst studying for her Early Childhood Studies degree. Since then, she's supported a number of schools before settling into a full-time placement from May. It's been fantastic to watch her confidence grow as she's put her learning into practice, with brilliant feedback from the schools she's worked in. Although her availability will reduce as she returns for her second year at university, we know she'll be back with us whenever she can.

🌟 Victoria

Victoria joined us in January after relocating from Scotland. She threw herself into every opportunity, working across a variety of settings before finding her home at Cann Bridge. She's loved every minute there and has now secured a permanent contract from September. While we're sad to lose her from the Thrive team, we're incredibly proud of her and wish her every success in her new role.

🌟 Bev

Bev joined us in April with a wealth of experience and made an immediate impact. She impressed so much in a brand-new school that she was booked for the entire term, helping us build a fantastic relationship with the setting. When that placement came to an end, she quickly secured another role before being offered a permanent position for September at another of our partner schools. Bev has achieved so much in such a short time with us, and although we're sad to see her move on, we couldn't be happier for her.

💙 Thank you all for everything you've done while representing Thrive. We wish you every success in your new roles and have a fantastic well-earned break this summer.

As we approach the final few days of another school year, it feels like the perfect time to reflect.

It's strange to say, but we no longer feel like the "new" agency. As we finish our second year, Thrive has become a familiar name across so many education settings, particularly in Plymouth. We've built a reputation for specialising in SEN, and the staff who represent us have become incredibly sought after.

That's exactly why this time of year is always bittersweet.

Over the coming weeks, we'll say goodbye to some amazing people as they move into permanent contracts, head back to university, relocate, or begin new chapters.

While we're always proud to see our staff progress, replacing such fantastic individuals is never easy because they've set the bar so high.

So, to every individual who has worked at Thrive... thank you.

We've always said that as an agency, we're only as good as the people we place. This year has proved that more than ever. The incredible feedback we've received from schools and settings is a direct reflection of the commitment, professionalism and care shown by our staff every single day. .

To our educators, thank you for trusting us too. The feedback and reviews you've shared mean a huge amount. We've always believed that looking after our staff comes first, and we've done everything we can to support you, celebrate your successes, and help navigate the challenges along the way.

A huge thank you also goes to everyone who has liked, commented on or shared our posts throughout the year. Social media has played a massive part in our growth, helping us connect with so many fantastic educators. We really appreciate every bit of support, and we're already planning even bigger and better giveaways and competitions for next year.

Finally, Ryan and I will be sharing our availability over the summer in a separate post. Like many of you, we'll be taking a bit of time to reset over the first couple of weeks of the holidays before gearing up for what is shaping up to be our busiest September yet.

This week, we were delighted to present a donation of £647 to Woodlands, raised by our team members Ryan and Tom through their participation in the Plymouth Half Marathon back in May.

The funds were shared between Woodlands and Cann Bridge, two fantastic organisations doing incredible work in our local community.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported, donated, and encouraged Ryan and Tom along the way. Your generosity has helped make a real difference, and we’re proud to play a small part in supporting these amazing charities. 💙
