🚗 SUPPORT WORKER VACANCY – Plymouth Based

Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference every day? At OOT & ABOOT, we’re looking for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Support Worker to provide person-centred support to a couple of individuals in their own homes and within the local community.

This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You’ll support individuals to maintain their independence, achieve personal goals and enjoy the activities that are important to them. As well as assisting with daily living and household tasks, you’ll accompany them on social and community activities.

About the Role

The people we support enjoy an active lifestyle and regularly take part in activities such as:

* 🎳 Bowls at the Life Centre
* 🛍️ Shopping
* ☕ Trips out for breakfast and lunch
* 🤝 Meeting friends in the community
* 🚗 Community outings and appointments
* 🏡 Support with household tasks and maintaining independence

💷 Pay

* £13.00 per hour

✅ Essential Requirements

* Full UK driving licence
* Access to your own vehicle
* Business-use insurance (or willing to add business use before starting)

⭐ Desirable Skills

Experience or a good understanding of supporting individuals with:

* Learning disabilities
* Autism
* Cognitive impairments

📅 Rolling 2-Week Rota

Week 1 – 10.5 Hours

* Tuesday: 8:30am–1:00pm
* Wednesday: 8:00am–12:00pm, then 12:15pm–2:15pm (supporting a second individual – approximately 2 miles between services)

Week 2 – 16.5 Hours

* Tuesday: 8:30am–1:00pm
* Wednesday: 8:00am–12:00pm, then 12:15pm–2:15pm (supporting a second individual – approximately 2 miles between services)
* Saturday: 8:00am–12:00pm, then 12:15pm–2:15pm (supporting a second individual – approximately 2 miles between services)

Minimum guaranteed hours: 27 hours per fortnight.

* Wednesday: 9:00am–10:00pm + sleep-in
* Thursday: 7:00am–8:30am

Week 2 – 21.5 Hours + 1 Sleep Shift

* Tuesday: 8:30am–5:30pm
* Friday: 2:30pm–10:00pm + sleep-in
* Saturday: 7:00am–12:00pm

Minimum guaranteed hours: 45 hours per fortnight, plus 2 sleep-in shifts.
