I first started picture framing in 1990 whilst serving as a carpenter 1 in the Royal Marines at Stonehouse Barracks, using a morso mitre machine, Stanley picture clamps, a daler mount cutter and a sprig gun. I used to source materials from 2 local suppliers, unfortunately those suppliers have long gone, wholesale moulding prices since then have rocketed and so has high street framers prices.
