Christmas with ADHD can be a lot.

More noise.
More people.
More expectations.

If you’re finding December harder than you expected, you’re not doing it wrong.

Here are three ways to make Christmas a little easier when you have ADHD:

🎄 Lower the bar on purpose
You do not need a perfect Christmas. You need one that doesn’t leave you exhausted. Choose what matters and let the rest go.

🎄 Build in escape routes
Long days and social plans can be overwhelming. Step outside. Take a break. Leave early if you need to. That’s not rude, it’s regulation.

🎄 Expect a wobble afterwards
The post-Christmas dip is real. Less structure, lower dopamine, slower starts. That’s biology, not failure.

None of this is about fixing yourself. It’s about working with how your brain actually works. If December feels like a lot right now, you’re not alone.
