Support Wealden

All good things come to an end.

The Support Wealden website will be coming to an end at the close of 2022. It has been a brilliant initiative to be involved in and we would like to thank all of you who had a listing, contributed to the newsletters, joined in with the social media projects or participated in our Midweek Wealden broadcasts. You can still watch the first 6 broadcasts on Youtube (see link below) and the final one you'll find here on Facebook .

We had a lot of fun and it certainly gave us something to do to keep us all going during lockdown! But we now need to concentrate on our own business, Hailsham Creative, so have decided to let Support Wealden go. Listings will stay in place until the end of December.

After deliberation, in April we decided to stop emailing out the monthly Support Wealden Newsletters. Instead, we encourage all of those listed on the website to use our Facebook PAGE (not the group) to share your news. Some of you are already using this facility which is great - if you limit your posts to one a week it helps everyone to be seen. Help the page to be more visible too by commenting on each other's posts and sharing on other networking pages.

We started the Support Wealden initiative during the first lockdown to help local businesses. The monthly live-streamed interviews were great fun, attracting many viewers after the event too. We like to think we helped to keep spirits up and minds focused on business.

As there are so many other opportunities for networking out there, we do not now intend to organise a face to face networking event. But it would be great if all of those listed on the Support Wealden site can continue to support, keep in touch and work with each other. Please use the website www.supportwealden.co.uk to search local businesses and make contact.

As things warm up our minds - like many others, are turning to holidays! We are looking to squeeze a few days in so our opening hours next week will be changing as follows.
Monday 18th and Thursday 21st we will be closed along with Monday and Tuesday 25th & 26th July we will also be closed. The other days will be open as usual from 10am to 4pm. Then all back to normal

Registration is open now for the 2022 Hailsham Art Trail. If any businesses are interested in hosting an artist, post about your venue on Hailsham Artists Network Page. Deadline for registrations is 21st July so make contact soon.

Tonight is Burger Night at the Old Oak between 5pm and 8pm. Choose from a "whopping" 25 different burgers. £15 for a burger, fries, small side and a drink. We look forward to seeing you later.
