It's been a really hard week working across the Five Towns, caring for our elderly community during this heat.

I've met so many people who have been reluctant to put a fan on because they're worried about the cost of electricity. As many of you will know, older people also don't always drink enough water, which can quickly become dangerous in hot weather.

If you have an elderly neighbour, friend, or relative, please take a few minutes to check in on them. Encourage them to have a drink, make sure they're keeping as cool as they can, and let them know someone is thinking of them.

A small act of kindness can make a big difference. 💙
