The scary thing about being “high functioning” is that everybody assumes you’re okay.

You’re organised. Productive. Reliable.

Meanwhile your nervous system is running on pressure, overthinking, and adrenaline.

A lot of women don’t need more discipline.
They need to finally feel safe enough to slow down.

Turning 30 made me realise how much energy I wasted trying to be understood by everyone.

I stopped overexplaining.
Stopped proving.
Stopped shrinking myself to make other people comfortable.

And honestly? Life became so much lighter.

Society celebrates working moms for doing it all...

What it doesn't see is the mental load, the guilt, the emotional labour, the invisible second shift that never ends.

Working moms aren't struggling because they're not strong enough.

They're struggling because they're carrying things that were never meant to be carried alone, in a system that was never designed for them.
This needs to be said more.
