🪚 Cut-Off Saw Training at David R White

A great session today, with some really useful conversations around the health and safety benefits of battery-powered tools.

We even had a few converts from petrol to battery! 🔋

Delegates found that the battery-powered saw gave them greater control, particularly when cutting smaller strips off slabs compared with using a petrol saw.

It was great to see everyone getting hands-on, comparing the equipment and building their confidence in the safe use of cut-off saws.

This week has got off to a great start! We had a packed course for Temporary Works Supervisor at our Poole venue today 👏

I also had the pleasure of visiting SA Webber to provide the team with ongoing NVQ support. A highlight was receiving a nice bottle of wine to thank me for the ongoing support. It’s small gestures like this that make it all worthwhile 🍷

A lifting sling might look perfectly fine at first glance, but knowing what to look for before it’s used is a critical part of safe lifting operations.

This week, our Slinger Signaller training has been covering the importance of pre use sling inspections and why taking the time to properly inspect lifting accessories can prevent serious incidents on site.

Our candidates are learning how to identify defects, damage and signs of wear that could make a sling unsafe to use, as well as understanding when equipment should be removed from service.
