What a fantastic day at Canford Classic & Supercar Sunday! 🏁

The SWVA Classics team had a brilliant time exhibiting among an incredible display of 750 classic cars, modern icons, supercars and hypercars, with around 5,000 enthusiasts joining the event across the beautiful grounds of Canford School.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand to say hello and chat with us about buying and selling classic and performance vehicles. It was great to meet so many fellow motoring enthusiasts!

A huge congratulations to the Aperta Events team on celebrating five years with another superb event. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

From Hollywood to the Hammer 🎬🔨

This film-famous TVR Tuscan Speed Six certainly knew how to make an entrance — and the bidding followed suit.

Finished in spectacular Chameleon Blue, this 2001 example is understood to have been used during the filming of Swordfish before later being scanned by Sony for inclusion in Gran Turismo.

With its unmistakable styling, colour-shifting paintwork and naturally aspirated Speed Six engine, it proved to be one of the standout cars of our Summer Classic & Performance Auction.

The hammer eventually fell, with the TVR achieving an impressive £35,840 including buyer’s premium before heading off to its next custodian.

The Ultimate Summer Toy ☀️

Finished in White, this 1968 Volksrod Mk 6 Beach Buggy delivers lightweight, open-air fun with unmistakable retro character.

Built around a shortened Volkswagen Beetle floorpan and powered by an air-cooled 1600cc flat-four engine, it combines simple mechanics with a four-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive.

The Hot Hatch Benchmark 🏁

Finished in iconic Cherry Red over Black half-leather with Red patterned cloth inserts, this 1989 Peugeot 205 GTi 1.9 has undergone an extensive nut-and-bolt restoration, including a full engine rebuild.

The work is supported by a comprehensive photographic record and accompanying invoices, while its strong history file also includes historic MOT certificates and the original Peugeot bookpack. The Maintenance Booklet displays 10 service stamps covering the period from 1991 to 2002.

Lightweight, responsive and renowned for its wonderfully balanced chassis, the 1.9-litre 205 GTi remains one of the most celebrated hot hatches ever produced. This beautifully restored example offers a fantastic opportunity to acquire one of the defining performance cars of its era.

The Rover P5 Seen in Call the Midwife 🎬

Finished in its factory combination of Shadow Green over Rush Green with a Beige interior, this 1959 Rover P5 3-Litre Mk I has remained with The Vendor for the past 19 years.

Re-imported from Cagliari, Italy, in 2008, it has since become a familiar sight at club events, classic-car shows and weddings. It also appeared in Series 6, Episode 1 of the BBC drama Call the Midwife.

Its extensive history file includes a personalised history folio, workshop manuals, historic MOT certificates, period marketing material and magazine features. A remarkable collection of trophies, plaques and awards further reflects its standing within the Rover community.

Professionally maintained and sympathetically upgraded, it has benefited from substantial mechanical recommissioning and is MOT’d until May 2027.
