Another Roof Successfully Completed by Specialist Roofing Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

A few months ago, we were called in to tackle this old kitchen roof at a hotel in Fort William, which had reached the point where replacement was needed.

The existing corrugated metal roof was stripped back and, once exposed, we reinforced the timber frame to provide a strong and reliable structure for the new roof build-up.

We then:
🔨 Reinforced the existing timber structure
🔨 Installed a new plywood deck
🔨 Fully waterproofed the roof using a Protan single-ply membrane
🔨 New PVC and guttering installed
🔨 Left the hotel with a durable, low-maintenance roofing system built to last

This was actually the second roof we’ve completed at the hotel, and we’re delighted to say we’re heading back next week to carry out more roofing work on the property.

For us, that’s one of the best signs that we’re doing things right — customers coming back and trusting us with more of their building. 👌

🏠 Another dormer project completed in Gourock! 🏠

We at Specialist Roofing Scotland recently completed this job for Alan Hepburn Joinery as part of a loft conversion, with some stunning views over the River Clyde! 🌊

Our works included:

🔨 Slating of the existing roof
🔨 New slate to the dormer roof
🔨 Leadwork throughout
🔨 New gutters
🔨 PVC membrane flat roof
🔨 Various roof vents
🔨 All associated roofing works

A great project from start to finish, and another quality job completed by the team. 👌

A great before-and-after on this building, with the walls fully clad and the joists and roof sheets renewed. A big difference in both appearance and condition, bringing the building back up to a high standard and ready for many more years ahead.
