💙
Exactly one year ago today, we said goodbye to my father — a man of quiet power, deep heart and lasting influence.
He shaped rooms with his presence. He freely gave up his knowledge and a lifetime of experience to unselfishly support strangers, he anchored our family with his love and ever since I was a young child, I knew he found his greatest strength in Mandy who truly was his rock.
Though the ache of his absence remains in us all, so does an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for the years we shared and, for me personally, the extraordinary privilege of being one of his only two children. Today, I try and carry his wisdom forward as I lead the business he entrusted into our hands. His values, his integrity and his vision lives on through me - trying to further grow and nurture everything he had built with such care and passion. I’m deeply honored to be able to continue his legacy along with Mandy, hopefully with the passion and dedication he always showed.
His influence continues to shape who I am and his wisdom, love and wicked sense of humour still lifts our family every single day with every little post-it note found, hand written note stuffed in a book, file or drawer and each dejavu moment when I smell his aftershave on someone random in a street and think he’s there with me.
So, a year on, with a heart full of love and a quiet pride, we celebrate the man who taught me what strength, purpose and integrity truly mean. Until we meet again, Dad, Glyn - thank you for everything.
We love you always. ❤️
