Energy bills are heading up again (we’re eye-rolling with you!) 🙄⚡

This week, it was announced that the energy price cap will rise by 4% from October, adding around £60 a year to the bill of a typical household.

While £60 might not sound huge in isolation, we think the bigger conversation is about control.

For years, we’ve watched energy prices rise, fall… and rise again, with very little say over what we’ll be paying next.

It’s one of the reasons more homeowners and businesses are exploring solar and battery storage. Not because solar makes you completely immune to changing energy prices, but because generating more of your own electricity, storing what you don’t immediately use and reducing your reliance on the grid can give you greater control over where your energy comes from and what you’re paying for it.

Grey skies? Still generating energy though ☁️☀️

Another local install completed last week, this time in Kenfig Hill, Bridgend, with 8 solar panels, a 5kW inverter and 2 batteries.

One of the biggest misconceptions about solar is that you need bright sunshine for it to work. Solar panels generate from daylight, so even on those very familiar Welsh grey days, your system is still working away.

And let’s face it... that’s quite important when you live in South Wales! 😂
