🏡 Planning Permission Approved… What Happens Next?

Getting planning permission is a huge milestone—but it’s only the beginning of your project!

Here’s what typically comes next:

1. Building Regulations Drawings
Detailed technical drawings are prepared to ensure your project complies with current Building Regulations.

2. Structural Design
If required, a structural engineer will provide calculations for elements such as beams, foundations or roof alterations.

3. Builder Quotations
With detailed construction drawings, builders can provide accurate and comparable quotes.

4. Party Wall Matters
If your project affects a shared wall or boundary, you may need to follow the Party Wall etc. Act 1996.

5. Start Building!
Once approvals are in place and you’ve chosen your contractor, construction can begin.
