Jenny McLaren

Jenny McLaren I help business owners and teams have better sales conversations - without scripts or sleazy tactics. Most people aren’t bad at sales. I don’t do role play.

They’re just having the wrong conversations. I work with business owners and teams who are doing the work, having the meetings, and still not seeing the results they should be. Not because they need a script. And not because they need to “push harder.”

But because small things in their conversations are quietly costing them business. I work on real conversations, real situations, and often alongs

ide clients in the sales process itself — so what we’re improving is actually happening, not theoretical. Over the years, I’ve supported 300+ projects across a range of industries, helping people understand what to say, when to say it, and how to say it in a way that feels natural and works. If you’ve ever thought:
“That felt like a good conversation… so why didn’t it go anywhere?”

That’s usually where I come in.

‘I’ve tried coaching before — it didn’t stick.’

That’s because most coaching stays in theory.

We work on real calls, real messages, real follow‑ups — live.

Your confidence improves because your words improve.

And you keep the changes because you *use* them immediately.

Sales isn’t a skills problem.
It’s a nervous system problem.

Sales conversations often go wrong before the words even start.

If you’re tense, performative, or trying to be someone else, your message won’t land.

One of my favourite bits of feedback wasn’t ‘Jenny helped me close more deals’

It was Ellis feeling at ease enough to be able to get the very best out of our time together, providing fast results.

That’s where consistent sales start.

Better conversations provide better results.

Most people think they lose opportunities because they don’t know what to say.

I’ve worked with plenty of people where the opposite is true.

They say too much.

Fill the gaps.
Over-explain.
Talk themselves out of the opportunity.

Silence is uncomfortable.

But it’s also where the truth shows up 😉

It took me 9 attempts to do a skydive.
(yes… 9 🙈)

Every time I showed up thinking “this is the day”… and it wasn’t.

I had all sorts of theories as to why - I love a theory.

What actually changed?

Nothing dramatic.

I just got used to the environment, the people, the process.

By the time it finally happened - it felt easy.

Sales is the same.

People don’t choose you because of one perfect conversation.

They choose you because you showed up consistently enough to become the obvious choice.

I found this page today… and realised I hadn’t posted on it since 2019.

I’m bringing this page back. Properly this time.

I’ve worked across 300+ projects, sat in real sales conversations (not role plays), and seen first-hand what actually works - and what quietly kills opportunities.

No scripts.
No sleazy tactics.
Just better sales conversations.

If you’re still here after all this time… thank you.

And if you’ve joined recently - welcome.

I had a giggle at this - hope you do too

Much of my Sales Coaching is online and sometimes depending on time zones audio only is often the preferred choice

I’m seeing many of my network just starting to find their way with online meetings and virtual coffees, there’s massive benefits to having them both personally and professionally- where else could you acceptably sit in your underwear from the waist down, have a coffee and a chat and not be arrested ...... what a time to be alive !

Embrace the changes, concentrate only on the things that are within your control
