We will be closed 25th, 26th, 27th and 28th then the 1st & 2nd.

Deliveries for each day will be brought forward one day.

Tuesday 23rd will be delivered on Monday 22nd.
Wednesday 24th will be delivered on Tuesday 23rd.
Thursday 25th will be delivered on Wednesday 24th.
Tuesday 30th will be delivered on Monday 29th.
Wednesday 31st will be delivered on Tuesday 30th.
Thursday 1st will be delivered on Wednesday 31st.

Please order in plenty time. Cut off is 9am each morning.

Western Eco Fuels Ltd Christmas opening hours.

We will be closed 25/26th of December and 1st/2nd of January.

Deliveries for these days will be changed as follows -

Wednesday 25th of December deliveries will be done on Tuesday 24th.

Thursday 26th of December deliveries will be done on Friday 27th.

Wednesday 1st of January deliveries will be done on Tuesday 31st of December.

Thursday 2nd of January deliveries will be done on Friday 3rd of January.

We advise ordering a day early for these two weeks so your delivery will be done on time.

As most of our customers now know: Western Eco Fuels has changed ownership and is now under the name of Western Eco Fuels Ltd.

We often get asked if the gas or connection on our bottles is the same as other brands.

No matter what the brand, be it Flo-Gas, Mac-Gas, Alta-Gas, BP, or any other brand of propane/butane, the connection and gas inside the bottles are exactly the same, and will burn exactly the same as any other brand of propane or butane.

Propane is a brass metal-to-metal fitting, so must be tightened up sufficiently with a spanner so the metal can form a seal inside the valve on the bottle. Sometimes you'll have what's known as a hand-tight regulator... This is the same idea, but has a plastic wheel for tightening with your hand, and a rubber gasket that goes inside the bottle, so doesn't require the same force to create the seal.

Butane bottles are generally a 21mm clip-on fitting. This is much easier and only requires a good push down until you hear a click, then that's the bottle connected and ready to go.

Also, some people ask us for "Patio-Gas" or "leisure gas". We don't sell this as it is just propane in a bottle with a different connection. So we will sell you a cheaper bottle of standard propane, and convert your regulator to a standard propane one so you can use a standard propane bottle in future, saving you money.

Autumn is definitely here now, so it's time to start preparing for the colder months ahead.

Western Eco Fuels are still offering free delivery all over Skye and close-by mainland Scotland too.

We have very competitive prices and will work with you to give the best service we possibly can.

If you or someone you know is using gas at the moment, and isn't getting it from us, then we can as good as guarantee a better price if you were to switch over to us.

There is no deposit on your first bottle, so if you've got a competitors bottle, we will only charge you for the gas in the bottle you receive. And with free delivery, it saves you lugging a bottle into your car and potentially damaging it and yourself.

Western Eco Fuels are among many businesses which are classed as essential services, so we are still out delivering gas to customers all over Skye and the nearby mainland.

We're getting a new delivery of bottles this coming Wednesday, so will have plenty stock to keep everyone going during this epidemic. We also have heaters, regulators and gas hose in stock, too!

We deliver to the following areas on the allocated days every week...

COVID-19!

Western Eco Fuels are still delivering gas all around Skye and the surrounding mainland as normal.

We are taking extra precautions to ensure the spread of this virus is kept to an absolute minimum. Precautions include wearing gloves when delivering bottles, using gloves when handling cash, cheques and regularly disinfecting the steering wheel, interior controls and door handles of our pickups. We are also keeping cash in a sealed box so it doesn't contaminate any of the invoices or wallets that we use.

We will be delivering as normal for as long as we can, and hopefully we will not have any interruptions as a result of the virus.

Tomorrow we will be down the south end of Skye; Sconser, Broadford, Kyle, Plockton, Dornie, Armadale, Elgol and anywhere in between these places. So don't hesitate to get in touch and order your gas now.
