Two of the most exciting aspects of Ask Miranda™ are the Farm and Water Tracing modules.

Offering ground-breaking supply chain visibility using Satellite Earth Observation and DNA tagging technologies these modules are backed by ESA BASS (European Space Agency Business Applications & Solutions)

Our project with European Space Agency - ESA BASS kicked off with industry surveys in 2025 which confirmed a consistent and significant gap in supply chain traceability - the farms.

Working with specialists in SatEO, DNA tagging and Water and alongside data analysts, our team has developed pioneering opportunities for farm-level traceability and field mapping.

Combined with rainfall analytics and irrigation monitoring, we can evaluate water use for one of the most water-intense agricultural practices in the fashion industry; cotton cultivation.

Combined with DNA tagging for provenance verification, the Farm and Water Trace modules provide compliance evidence and assurance for ESG teams assessing their purchased products.

The industry is moving fast, and leading Brands are building transparent, verifiable supply chains now, before legislation forces their hand.

Get in touch now to join the brands leading the way for sustainable fashion-buying.

The ones that wait will have to play catch up….and in compliance, catch-up is expensive!

Sus’d scores are another core element in Ask Miranda™.

Providing clear, comparable sustainability scoring at product, range and supplier level.

It’s the single data view that at last lets buying teams, sustainability leads, finance directors AND consumers speak the same language.

Developed by Brand Conscience Ltd as a consumer-facing product-level impact assessment, the sus’d score looks at five key impact areas;

~Production Processes - how the product is made
~Durability - how long the product can last
~Recyclability - how the product contributes to circularity
~Manufacturing Miles - how far raw materials have to travel to create the product
~Company Kindness - how social welfare is considered through the supply chain

Each area is scored using a simple red > green ‘traffic light’ colour code, for at-a-glance comparison and easier decision making.

This is just one way Ask Miranda™ supports and improves buying processes for fashion brands, providing complex and insightful data in a way that is easy to understand and quick to action.

Sus’d scores can be integrated into range planners, ESG reports and DPP, communicating key sustainability metrics at a glance where and when they’re most needed.

Strengthen your sustainability practices with Ask Miranda™ and the sus’d score.

The Impact Margin Calculator, a core module inside Ask Miranda® gives buying teams the true cost of every product decision, financially and environmentally, before you commit.

Rather than waiting for a post-season review, or a sustainability report filed six months later, you can have the details you need when they matter the most.

For CFO’s:
This is how sustainability becomes a financial discipline. Boston Consulting Group (BCG)’s new Fashion CFO Agenda 2026 notes that measuring impact uncovers inefficiencies.
This is where that starts…

For COO’s:
This is where raw material risk and environmental cost become visible before they hit the P&L.

For Buying Directors and Merchandising Directors:
This is the conversation you’ve wanted to have but didn’t have the data to back it up.

The question isn’t whether you can afford to model this. It’s whether you can afford not to!!

A report published last week at the Global Fashion Summit 2026 from Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and Global Fashion Agenda confirmed details that COOs and CFOs in retail have been waiting for (article linked in comments):

→ Climate disruption has seen raw material price spikes of up to 2x
→ EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) fees are set to cut net profit by 4% by 2030
→ EU Digital Product Passports will become mandatory from 2027
→ EUDR supply chain traceability scheduled for December 2026

The tools most buying teams still use were built for a different world. Ours is being built for this one.

Ask Miranda™ by Brand Conscience & Our Fashion Fix, supported by ESA BASS (European Space Agency Business Applications and Space Solutions)… change is coming.

What a week…

From London to Amsterdam, then heading on to European Space Research and Technology Centre in Noordwijk for the first ever ESA BASS Water Day!

A day full of ideas, conversations, learning and those moments where you stop and think…this is pretty amazing.

Representing Brand Conscience and sharing our CottonConscience project in such an inspiring setting was something special, there’s something powerful about being in a room with so many people who genuinely care about solving the big issues, hearing from experts, meeting potential collaborators, and seeing how space innovation is being and can be used to protect resources here on Earth!

And then there were the surreal moments…walking through the Columbus training module, and touching something that had literally re-entered Earth’s atmosphere 🚀

A huge thank you to everyone at ESA for making it such a brilliant experience especially Manon, our project Technical Officer who has supported us throughout and was wonderful to finally meet in person.

Came home inspired, full of ideas, excited for the next steps and very grateful for opportunities like this!

About last night, we were delighted to attend the Business Consultancy Project Celebration Event hosted by the University of Portsmouth, Business and Law
celebrating the fantastic BCP Class of 2025.

It has been a real pleasure for Brand Conscience to work alongside such engaged, thoughtful and motivated students as part of the programme.

Our student group brought fresh perspectives, strong analysis and genuine curiosity to complex sustainability challenges, exactly the kind of real-world thinking businesses need.

The event was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the collaboration, effort and impact delivered throughout the project, to celebrate the hard work of both students and the Faculty team who make the programme such a huge success and also to network with other BCP clients and student groups to see and hear about their experiences from this wonderful programme.

A huge thank you to the University of Portsmouth for the organisation, communication and support throughout, we thoroughly enjoyed being part of the journey and would welcome the opportunity to collaborate again in the future.
Congratulations to everyone involved in the BCP Class of 2025. 💚
