The November PF Meet was a huge success! 🙌
We had a fantastic turnout, with lots of new creatives joining us and making connections over drinks, shared experiences, and big ideas.

One of our favourite things about PF Meet is what happens after the talk. The conversations, the experiences, and the openness. It’s a space where freelancers can share what’s working, what’s not, and feel part of a real community.

We’re already working on some fun activities for the next PF Meet on Thursday 11th December. 🎅🎄

Our October meetup last night was a great success, lovely to see familiar faces and a few newbies as well - welcome! 😁 We had everyone from developers, designers, artists, photographers, coaches, SEO experts, and more come to enjoy a drink and some networking.

We also had our second ever talk by Starboard - Digital Studio on 'Finding Focus: Freelancing without the Noise' which sparked some great discussions.

Next month we have a talk by Jonny Gilbey (freelancer Marketer) which you can already signed upto at our website pfmeet.co.uk

October talk - Finding Focus: Freelancing Without the Noise

Our next Portsmouth Freelancers Meet talk will be by our very own Jo Loveridge - yes, I’m back doing another talk! 🎤

"After 18 years of freelancing, I’ve learned a thing or two about what makes freelance life calm and enjoyable - and what makes it stressful and noisy.

In this session I’ll share the practical tips, client boundaries, and mindset shifts that help me hit my income goals, rarely work evenings or weekends and take proper time off without guilt."

Fancy giving a short talk at PFMeet? 🎤 We’re looking for speakers at our free networking group - Portsmouth Freelancers Meet! 📣

Every month we host a 10–15 min talk before networking kicks off - it could be a story from your freelance journey, a tool demo, or some practical tips others can learn from.

You don’t need to be a polished speaker, just bring your ideas and experience. We’re a friendly, supportive bunch, and first-time speakers are always welcome.

- Short talks (10–15 mins) before networking.�
- First-time speakers welcome.
- Share your story, demo a tool, or practical tips.
- No TED Talk needed - just your ideas and experience.
- Slides optional (facilities available though!)

Last night we kicked off the brand new Portsmouth Freelancers Meet format. Starting with an after work mingle from 6:30pm, then a short talk at 7:15pm, and then more networking after and having fun contributing to the post-it wall! We ended up sticking around until after 10 as we had so much to talk about.
