Goodwood 2026 🐎

A hot sunny July afternoon for the WR team can only mean one thing, a team day out at Goodwood 🏇

Each year we head out to the races, drinks in hand, having fun, placing a few bets and socialising together. It’s easily one of the highlights of the year! 🥂

What a fantastic day of fundraising! 💙

At WR, we're proud to support Friends Fighting Cancer and the incredible work they do for individuals and families affected by cancer.

To show our support we held a charity event at the office, packed with friendly competition and plenty of team spirit.

We're pleased to share that during the event we raised £260. We also collected food bank donations and preloved sportswear with an estimated value of £150, helping to support people in our local community. Every pound raised and every donation made will help make a real difference.

🍰 Our bake sale and Bake-Off saw some incredible entries, with Holly’s meringues and Peter’s scotch eggs taking the top spots.

🎟️ Congratulations to Jamie, who was our lucky winner in the Friends Fighting Cancer charity blackout.

🏆 Our fundraising sports quiz brought out everyone's competitive side, with Oliver and Steven claiming victory with an impressive 18 out of 21.

A big thank you also goes to our fellow businesses within Ameiva House, who joined in the fun and helped make the day such a success. It was brilliant to see everyone getting involved for such a worthwhile cause.

A huge thank you to everyone who baked, donated, competed, contributed, and supported the day. Your generosity and enthusiasm made it a brilliant success. 💙

We were delighted to welcome Ray and Lee from Friends Fighting Cancer to the WR office this afternoon to learn more about the incredible work their charity does to support people and families affected by cancer.

They shared some powerful insights into the practical, emotional, and financial support they provide within the local community, and the positive impact this has on so many lives.

At WR, supporting meaningful causes is an important part of who we are, and we're proud to be partnering with Friends Fighting Cancer as our chosen charity.

We look forward to supporting their fantastic work through fundraising and awareness initiatives in the coming weeks and months.

Last week, we were pleased to welcome Maeve to WR for a week of work experience.

Throughout the week, Maeve got involved in a variety of tasks across the business, giving her valuable insight into both recruitment and business operations. She spent time shadowing our recruiters, learning about the day-to-day responsibilities involved in supporting clients and candidates, and attended our end-of-month meeting to see how we recognise success and celebrate achievements as a team.

Maeve also supported our back-office team with database administration, gaining an understanding of the importance of accurate data and effective processes. In addition, she undertook a research project comparing AI marketing tools, helping us explore emerging technologies and their potential applications within the business.

We're passionate about providing meaningful work experience opportunities and giving young people exposure to a range of real-world business activities and skills.

A big thank you to Maeve for her enthusiasm and professionalism. We wish her every success in the future!

Earth Day 2026 🌍

Today we’re proud to celebrate the positive impact we’re making with Carma, planting trees with every candidate we place.

Over the past few months, this partnership has helped us remove 233 tCO2e and plant trees across six different countries. A small step that we hope adds up to meaningful change.

At WR, we believe success should create value beyond business, and we’re proud to support a greener future.
