Workshop done — and what a great day!

Today’s workshop was all about the changing world of supply chains — from geopolitical uncertainty and steel, to tariffs, resilience, AI and the growing need to think differently about procurement.

And I have to say… it was awesome!

Really positive feedback, some brilliant conversations and, most importantly, the opportunity to meet some fantastic manufacturers.

What stood out to me was the openness.

People are facing real challenges, but there is also a real appetite to find better ways of working, strengthen supply chains and turn uncertainty into opportunity.

That is exactly why I love working with manufacturing businesses.

Procurement isn’t just about saving money.

It is about protecting margin, improving performance, building stronger supplier relationships, managing risk and ultimately creating sustainable business value.

Thank you to everyone who came along, contributed, challenged the thinking and shared their experiences.

Some great connections made today — and I’m looking forward to continuing the conversations.

✈️ Farnborough International Airshow — what a day!

There is something incredibly energising about being surrounded by the people, businesses and ideas shaping the future of aerospace.

The air display was absolutely incredible — but, for me, the real value of Farnborough is always the conversations.

It was fantastic to catch up with old friends, make new connections and have some fascinating conversations about the opportunities and challenges facing the aerospace industry.

What continues to stand out to me is how closely connected everything is.

➡️ Supply chain resilience
➡️ Procurement
➡️ Sustainability
➡️ Scope 3 emissions

These are no longer separate conversations.

The decisions businesses make across their supply chains directly impact their profitability, resilience and sustainability performance.

That is why I am particularly excited about the work we are developing through ESG Assessors and GHG3 — helping businesses understand their Scope 3 emissions more quickly, accurately and practically, especially within complex supply chains.

The aerospace industry is constantly evolving, and I believe the businesses that can connect commercial performance with sustainability and supply chain strategy will be best placed to thrive.

A huge thank you to Brett Cooper for the warm welcome and for hosting such an excellent event. It was great to connect with so many professionals and have some valuable conversations.
