🏷️ THE NLS DIFFERENCE – It's All in the Details! 💚

We've been busy winding label rolls for a customer who uses Metrel printers.

Here's something you might not know! 🤓

Normally, when labels are cut to shape, the surrounding waste material (known as the ladder) is peeled away, leaving just the individual labels on the backing paper.

But Metrel printers are different!

They need that surrounding waste material to stay in place. So the labels are still individually pre-cut, but the ladder remains on the roll.

A small difference in how the labels are supplied, but an important one for the printer to work correctly! We can supply these in paper and polypropylene.

It's all about knowing your customer's equipment and getting the details right. 💚

Ever noticed just how many labels you come across in a day?

From PAT test labels on hand dryers to prescription labels on medication… once you start looking, they're EVERYWHERE! 😂

Some keep us safe, some give us important information, and others simply help things run smoothly.

Most people probably don't give them a second thought. We can't stop spotting them! 🤣

👀 Here's a challenge: Have a look around today. How many different labels can YOU find? Let us know the most unusual place you spot one!

And if you'd like to explore the wonderful world of labelling for yourself, give us a shout. We'd love to help! 💚

🤖 – Lesson #13

How long should your labels last?

The answer depends on what you're labelling, where it's being used and how you store your labels.

A few simple steps can make a big difference to print quality, adhesive performance and label life.

📌 Save this guide for future reference, and remember...

🕵️ Even unused labels have a shelf life! Store them somewhere cool, dry and away from direct sunlight to keep them performing at their best.

📞 Not sure which label is right for your application? Just give the team a call – we'll help you choose the right material, adhesive and print solution.
