💜 Want to work in women’s sports?

If you fit the bill below and you’re passionate about the growth of women’s sports, we’d love to hear from you. Could you be our new programme coordinator?

We’re currently working with all tiers of women’s football in England, the top flight of women’s rugby and a range of other governing bodies and sports, so not only is this a unique opportunity to work (and learn!) in a specialist field, but this role will play an essential role in our organisation and its growth, over the next 12 months.

🏆 Cup final season is underway 🏆

A brilliant trip to Ashton Gate at the weekend as the team hosted the Subway Women’s League Cup Final, officially kicking off our cup final period.

We were delighted to be there to take a closer look at the league’s Fan Choice (alcohol in bowl) pilot, which was featuring in the cup final for the first time and was definitely an appropriately-visible and popular feature with fans on the day 🥂

Whilst on site, what also became apparent was the evolution of the event into a broader, super fun and downright-cool atmosphere. A collection of moments and efforts contributed to this, but noticeably there were activations for all ages in just about every corner, energetic hosts and as always, a warm, welcoming and family-friendly atmosphere. The 🔗 up with was also spot on, providing the perfect build up for a big game and a space for different types of fans to connect, have fun (dance!) and get excited for the game ahead.

We spotted tonnes of Fan Choice best practice on show and along with this, we gained lots of inspiration to takeaway and share with the women’s sports clubs we’re lucky enough to work with💡

Wha a month 🚘

This February, we’ve had the absolute pleasure of supporting the FA’s Women’s Football Pyramid Roadshow, heading to eight different regions to meet, listen and support clubs from tiers 3-7.

We’ve been able to share case studies of clubs we’ve worked with in the .wnl over the last three seasons, who are seeing increases in attendances, revenue and fan satisfaction, as well as supporting regional league clubs to develop their matchday experiences.

Getting to work alongside this brilliant, passionate and fun team has been a real privilege, and after meeting so many wonderful club representatives, we know this will be one of our biggest highlights of 2026.

But we don’t stop there, we’re supporting a number of these clubs 1:1 this year and we cant wait to be sharing and celebrating their successes in the coming seasons too 🙌

Welcome, 👋

We’ve been thrilled to recently welcome FA Wales to the Fanfare family 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

From the first discussions with the team, I loved their passion for their clubs, their commitment to supporting them, and their interest in fan engagement 🫶

So, it was a pleasure to kick off our support with a trip to Aberystwyth to meet with club representatives to listen, learn more about the league and run an introductory session on all things fan engagement.

Fuelled by insight and feedback from the sessions, I’m really looking forward to working with the team this season and helping these brilliant clubs achieve their fan engagement goals ✨

2,000 miles for women’s football to kick off 2026… 🗺️

What a month! Officially our first month supporting tiers 1-6 as a team and what a shift by our brilliant team...

This January:

⭐️ Over on our .wnl programme, we’ve taken a trip to ’s exciting new home, then over to Devon for a great season with the folks at , back north to meet with the committed department leads at and then down to to work on some exciting plans for the rest of the season.

⭐️ We’ve also had the pleasure of three WSL fixtures, starting at ’s Joie Stadium, followed by our very own WSL double header last weekend. First up was up at Stamford Bridge, then back north to see at St Helens, as we support the clubs and league in taking a close look at implementation and impact of ‘Alcohol in Bowl’ project. So much creativity and brilliant innovation spotted at these matchdays!

⭐️ As the month comes to a close, we were thrilled to take a trip to for their matchday visit, as they officially become the first of our women’s regional clubs to join our fan engagement pilot… very exciting times ahead for the club, and tiers 5 and 6 too! 🫶

We are so honoured to be supporting women’s football pyramid across England. Not only do we get to meet some of the most passionate and creative people working within the game, but every conversation, matchday and workshop furthers our understanding of what resonates with women’s sport fans… regardless of level, we are spotting best practice across the pyramid, every single week!

As said to me at the weekend, we truly do have the best jobs in the world and thank you to our team who help make all this happen 🥹

Let’s see what February holds, hey?

We turn 2️⃣!

We just want to say a huge thank you to every partner, team member, league and club who has been part of our last 12 months… What a year!

Over this time we’ve:
💜 gone ‘all in’ on women’s sport
💜 expanded our squad
💜 had a little glow-up
💜 grown our work with the FA, Women’s National League and

We also welcomed in , the FA’s regional leagues and the to the Fanfare family, as well as supporting in the world of netball and on countless workshops around the country.

And with some exciting news around the corner, we’re certainly not done yet. So, here’s to another 12 months of igniting fan engagement in women’s sport ✨

What a year 💜

2025 has seen some of the most incredible times for us!

From growing our team to become a fourteen-strong squad of women from across the country, to being able to say we now work with *every tier of women’s football in England*… we’ve even updated our look along the way too ✨

As we look ahead, we’re so grateful to be able to reflect on an incredible 12 months and say that…

🏟️ We’ve followed our hearts and focused in on women’s sport, working in women’s rugby, football and netball this year and helping clubs to grow their attendances, revenue, fan satisfaction (or all three!). Along the way, we’ve met so many great people… and mascots (some with four paws 🐾)
🏉 With more trophies, learning and awareness this year, women’s sport has grown to new heights once again and we’re inspired daily by those we work with and those we are lucky to collaborate with, all of who share our passion, determination and energy to drive future growth
🎆 In 2026, we can’t wait to continue to learn, collaborate and play our part, with some VERY exciting announcements coming early in the year too…

Until then, we thank every every club representative, league partner, fan and volunteer that we’ve had the pleasure of meeting this year and we wish you a lovely and relaxing festive season.

‘On-the-road’ with the 🦁🦁🦁

(I think if we pinch ourselves much more this season, we’ll just be a walking bruise 😅)

It’s been an honour to have been invited into the world of the Lionesses over the last few weeks to take a closer look and review the matchday fan experience, with the biggest of thanks to .mellia and Josh in the FA Events team for bringing us in.

We headed to the recent fixtures held at the Etihad and Pride Park and here are just some of the brilliant things that have stuck with us since our trips to Manchester and Derby…

➡️ One seriously impressive fan pre-event at Freight Island, which struck such a nice chord and connected local fans to the fixture (shout out to team , every FA staff member and volunteer who made that happen!)

➡️ Some super friendly staff who wanted to make memorable moments for fans. Getting to see team (aka THE team for great matchday staff & volunteers) was a brucey bonus of our Etihad trip!

➡️ Bright, bold branding that helped to make the venues feel like ‘home’ (no easy feat when you’re moving from stadium to stadium on the road 😅)

➡️ Exciting pre-KO shows including lights, cannons and a 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 tifo that had fans reaching for their phones to capture the moment 📸

A fascinating area of women’s football to take a deep-dive look at, with a different set of strengths, challenges and opportunities compared to club-level fan experience and the other areas of women’s sport that we’re working in… safe to say our brains have been buzzing with ideas since!💡

🏟️ Quite the view at The Emirates on Saturday, as we officially kicked off a fascinating project with and a number of WSL clubs.

We are delighted to be supporting their Fan Choice pilot where supporters can take their drinks through to their seats and enjoy an alcoholic drink watching WSL action.

Our team will be heading out to stadiums across the country this season and with so much quality evaluation going into this pilot from a number of external partners, we can’t wait to see what the findings are!

⚽️ And our third season is underway…

This week, the first of our 25/26 .wnl fan engagement reviews headed out the door to kick off our club support for this season 📬

We’ve been working with Tier 3 & 4 in English women’s football since the 23/24 season and as we head into season three, we’ve been delighted to hear recently about the progress that has been reported back by some clubs following our 1:1 programme and league workshops…

⭐️ Uplifts in attendances and ticket sales
⭐️ Growth in retail & matchday spend
⭐️ Development of databases and implementation of email comms
⭐️ Increases in digital engagement and website traffic

Most importantly, this is as a result of…

💥 Club and colleague buy-in to a shared vision
💥 Improved confidence, enthusiasm and understanding of key fan engagement areas across marketing, comms, matchday experience and retention
💥 Commitment to daily, weekly and monthly work on fan engagement (the results are worth it!)

We love working with the .wnl team on this programme as we see club representatives get excited and empowered to create and deliver their plans, and we often feel like an extended part of the club’s family 🥹.

There’s some exciting plans ahead for WNL clubs, so bring on another year of supporting this incredible level of women’s football.
