Yesterday’s sprint triathlon was a good one!

I knocked 13 minutes off my previous sprint triathlon time! So I’m absolutely buzzing.

A huge thank you to my home triathlon club Ayrodynamic Triathlon Club for putting on such a fantastic event and to all the amazing people who made the day possible.

Training for triathlon has reminded me that progress comes from showing up consistently.
The same is true in business small improvements, done consistently, lead to big results.

On to the next one 🏊🚴🏃

If I’m not supporting my bookkeeping clients, you’ll probably find me training for one of the biggest challenges I’ve ever taken on my first 70.3 Ironman.

At 55, I’m proving to myself that it’s never too late to set a goal that scares you a little or a lot!

Some days I’m balancing business, some days I’m balancing training and some days life has other plans but I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Here’s to showing up, one day, one session and one step at a time. 💙

Today, I’m not Sharon the Business Support Specialist.

Today, I’m simply Ewan’s mum. 💙

When you have a young adult with complex additional needs, there are days when everything else has to wait. Today is one of those days.

We’re facing some challenges with Ewan’s support, so today I’m his support worker, his advocate, his voice and his safe place.

This is why I built my business. Not for the freedom of being my own boss, but for the flexibility to be there when my son needs me most.

Behind every small business is a real person with a story.

Today, my business can wait.

My son can’t. 💙

Quick update from the weekend

I completed my first open water sprint triathlon in the beautiful city of Chester.

I managed to knock 16 minutes off my previous sprint time, which I’m really pleased with especially as it was my first time in open water, although still prefer a nice clean pool😂

It wasn’t easy and I definitely had moments where I questioned what I was doing, but I got through it.

I’m actually super proud of this one being a woman who is well in her 50s!

Next one is in 4 weeks… so no rest just yet 😊
