From opening in Mansfield town centre in 2021 helped by a Mansfield District Council business grant, Toffee Hut has gone from strength to strength and is now about to open its latest venture, the Cafe Boutique at the Patchills Centre, off Eakring Road in Mansfield.

Opening day will be Monday, June 1 and an official opening and welcoming party will take place on Saturday June 6 🎈🎉 when, they say, “everyone welcome from 9am, where we hope to be serving our delicious breakfasts ”.

The new venture is at the heart of a complex of 95 residential retirement properties at the Patchills Centre run by Brunts Charity.

Toffee Hut founder Rachel Richards tells us: “This event also marks a significant milestone as Toffee Hut celebrates five years of trading in Mansfield.

“Since our founding in 2021, we have grown from a lockdown-born staple on Regent Street into a cornerstone of the local community.
“We are proud of our contributions over the last half-decade, including serving as a hub for local culture, launching the town center’s first "Pay It Forward" scheme, and supporting local youth through the Prince's Trust and employability placements.

“As we evolve, we are continuing our community-focused mission by partnering with the Brunts Charity to promote social inclusion.

“We feel very privileged to be working within this space offering events to encourage social inclusion, helping to combat loneliness, and creating a destination for all ages and abilities.”

‼️Community Survey To Shape Improvements to Our Local Parks‼️

Please read 👇

Rainworth Parish Council want to hear from everyone who would like to see improvements to our parks and open spaces.

We’d like to hear about your thoughts about additional outdoor exercise/fitness equipment or facilities on our parks.

We’d like to hear from older adults, parents of small children, teenagers, and those interested in inclusive and accessible play.

Newark and Sherwood District Council has launched a Parish and Parks Fund to support local park improvements.

Funding is limited, requires community consultation and can be supported by local match funding; meaning communities can also raise additional money to maximise any grant awarded for their park and open space improvements.

Park equipment and installations are expensive, and unfortunately not every application NSDC receive will be successful.

Sometimes small improvements to entrances and exits, pathways and verges can make a big difference.

We’re encouraging local bio-diversity, re-wildling and creating features like butterfly banks, let us know if you have any ideas about these 🐝🦋

Oh! and don’t forget to mention the extra bins we need!

We are therefore asking local residents what improvements matter most to them so Rainworth Parish Council can build the strongest possible case for this grant application.
