We recently helped Cross Keys Learning in St Peter’s, Thanet, achieve its Cyber Essentials certification. 🛡️

The process was simple. The school was already prepared.

It’s been a busy few weeks at the Deal shop, especially since we’ve officially welcomed three T Level students from East Kent College into the fold.

They’ll be traveling down to see us two days a week for the next year, racking up over 300 hours of hands-on experience in the IT industry. I’ve always thought there’s a massive difference between reading about hardware in a textbook and actually having a device open in front of you, so we’re really glad to give them a space to learn how it’s actually done.

In the photo, you can see two of our students currently at the workbench, getting stuck into a repair and picking up the kind of practical knowledge you just can’t get in a classroom. It’s great to have their energy around the shop, and we’re looking forward to seeing how they progress over the next 12 months.

It’s always a good feeling to help out a local organization. We recently finished up a project for Sholden Parish Council, getting their Microsoft 365 setup, sorted and migrating the whole team over to secure .gov.uk email domains. We also supplied and set up a brand new laptop for the Clerk, Kevin, to make sure he has everything he needs to keep things running behind the scenes.

Honestly, these migrations can feel a bit daunting for councils, but we’ve got it down to a fine art now. We’re also sticking around to provide ongoing support for their emails and systems whenever they need a hand.

Kevin Lynch, the Clerk, was kind enough to say:

"Dynamix handled our Microsoft 365 migration from start to finish, setting up secure gov.uk email accounts for all councillors and a new laptop for the Clerk. Everything was completed smoothly and securely with minimal disruption. Thank you for your help and ongoing support."
