Yesterday (Sun 23/11/25), I delivered one of my talks. This time, to a group of people who support people with their worries and quite often mental health. It is fitting that I have come full circle with this organisation that helped my early team in the beginning to understand listening skills and empathy. For me to come along now to deliver a our journey on how they can have empathy when talking to LGBTQIA+ people on their phone lines.

As I was leaving, I got some lovely feedback, and it's not the first time I have had this type of feedback:

This is an hours talk of showing the type of journeys LGBTQIA+ people can have through out life. The barriers we sometimes come across. Because I talk about hate crimes, bullying, and parental rejection. It becomes a human walk. of life for an LGBTQIA+ person.

I recently went to the Trans Day of Remembrance on Sunday, 16th November. We got to hear people's real experiences in what is a hostile environment for the Trans Community right now.

I've been to all of the vigils in Reading since it began with , and now we have . To me, it doesn't matter who holds the baton as long as those voices, the education, and visibility keeps going. What I also liked about this year is that we get to see recognition of those who have passed from su***de, but also those we should never forget. It's important to always remember all Trans people or their names will fade into the background. I can't tell you how happy I was to see friends' name added.

Whether a Trans person passes by murder, su***de or natural, unforeseen circumstances. Never let us forget the impact their passings have on all of us. It's a really fitting time on TDoR that we remember as many as possible. Keep educating on those who lose their lives to hate crimes and those we should continue to celebrate.
