This is a hands-on clinical role for GPs who are confident managing acutely unwell patients, making autonomous decisions and delivering hospital-level care in patients’ homes.

What You’ll Be Doing
Assessing and treating acutely unwell patients at home
Supporting admission avoidance and early discharge
Managing deterioration and escalating where required
Delivering IV therapy and medication
Working closely with hospital consultants, ACPs, specialist nurses and community teams

A dedicated driver is provided for every shift, so you can focus entirely on the clinical work.

You Must Have
GMC registration
NHS Performers List
Current acute care experience
Strong autonomous decision-making skills
Home visiting experience
Competency in IV cannulation and IV medication/therapy
Confidence managing deteriorating patients
Current BLS, safeguarding and mandatory training
Right to work in the UK
