This weekend, Communications Solutions UK will mark 26 years of trading as a Limited company — a milestone that our Founder, says makes her incredibly proud.

She started the company, like all entrepreneurs, from a spare room at home. Today the company is a trusted IT and communications partner for businesses across the UK. The journey has been shaped by continuous innovation, a commitment to secure and reliable systems, and the values we stand by: Integrity, Care and Trust.

Over the years the company has achieved so much — we have grown our managed services offering, expanded our cyber security capabilities, helped clients modernise with Microsoft 365, and supported hundreds of users with dependable IT that simply works.

But none of this would have been possible without the people around us.

From 1st July 2025, Microsoft is enhancing security by retiring one-time passcode (OTP) links for guest access in SharePoint and OneDrive. Instead, Microsoft Entra B2B Collaboration will become the new standard for external sharing.

Think of it like changing the locks—anyone with an old key (OTP link) will need a new one. You’ll need to reshare files or folders using the updated method.

This change ensures a more secure and seamless collaboration experience moving forward.

Friday March 1st was the beginning of a new chapter in our company history. Not only was it the first day of our new financial year, but Chris Watling was appointed Managing Director. Having passed on the baton to her son, Julie Watling, our founder, will continue as Business Development Director. The team enjoyed a good lunch to celebrate last year’s success and celebrate Chris’ appointment.
