One of the best parts of the London Wine Fair was meeting up with new and old friends from the wine world.

It was brilliant to catch up with Wadsack, an old friend and probably one of the people who first got me interested in wine, so you can blame him!

Also great to spend time with Perold, a South African wine specialist, and Solomon Monyamane, a South African winemaker now creating some fantastic wines at Artelium here in the UK.

I also enjoyed meeting Toby Mason, Wine Sales Director in the UK, and talking more about wine, producers, regions and the future of wine tourism.

Of course, there was plenty of great wine to taste too.

A fantastic day of conversations, inspiration and ideas for Wine Adventurer.

The London Wine Fair really did feel like a Wine Adventure coming to me.

Wines and wineries from all over the world, all under one roof, and the chance to meet the passionate people behind the wines.

One of the real highlights was meeting Giorgi Revia from Giuaani Winery in Georgia.

They had such a beautiful collection of wines from a region you might not normally see on UK shelves, but one that definitely deserves more attention.

Giuaani Winery is based in the picturesque village of Manavi in south-east Georgia, and it sounds like a wonderful place to visit, fine Georgian wine, delicious food in their stylish restaurant, and even the chance to stay at their amazing on-site hotel.

It certainly sounds like a destination to add to the Wine Adventurer list.
