Today we travelled to Hampton in Arden to give £500 donation to the work done by Fat Fluffs Rabbit Rescue to rehome and to provide sanctuary to rabbits. Imogen met Theo a rex who was more than happy to have a quick cuddle before rejoining his friends in the large enclosure for grass time.

Every year at Childcare & Education Expo, we meet someone who says:
“It’s my first time here, I had no idea what to expect!”

We remember that feeling well. Our first Expo (over 10 years ago) felt a bit daunting too… so many stands, so many sessions, so many choices.

So if you’re going for the first time (or you want to get more from it), here are our top 5 tips:

🗺️ Don’t try to do everything. Plan ahead and focus on what’s most relevant to you. Quality over quantity, and yes, it’s completely fine to skip a session for a coffee break.

👥 Talk to exhibitors properly. We’re not just there to hand out leaflets. Share your challenges, ask questions, and you might leave with solutions you hadn’t considered.

✍️ Bring a notebook (not just a tote bag). There’s always a lightbulb moment, write it down before it disappears the minute you’re back in the setting.

💡 Go in with a specific problem. Staff absence, safer recruitment, the Employment Rights Act etc. Bring your real-world issues and use the Expo to get better answers.

🐦 Follow up afterwards. The Expo is the spark, relationships (and results) come from what you do next.
