Just taking a moment, or maybe two. Something we regularly encourage our clients to do throughout the year. To look back on just how much progress they have made. From physical building projects to renovations, business development and a change in direction. Its important to acknowledge the hard graft, drive and enthusiasm that both they and their incredible teams have put in.

Running your own business takes passion, drive, determination, a constant desire to learn and the ability to adapt. Its a journey of love, a roller coaster 🎢 with its ups and downs but the rewards can be thrilling.

So this is me just taking a moment to appreciate all the achievements our clients have made this year and feel a sense of pride for both the small wins 🏆 and the more dramatic changes.

As for my business its been a year of big change with the consultancy continuing to grow. I became a sole business owner in April and my weddings and events planning biz ran a large multiday festival party with the install and packdown taking over 10 days to complete. With 8 canvas tents, 2 days of parties and celebrations, this was one of our most complicated yet incredible event plans to date! We won 🏆 Best Wedding Planners in the South West for the 3rd year in a row.
Our event hire company launched a new website, online booking system and welcomed a new director of operations, Amie. Amie and the team won Best Wedding Decor in the South West Wedding Awards. I couldn't be prouder. So yes, I'm taking a minute.

What a fantastic Wedding Networking event at Tredudwell Manor last Tuesday! We had an incredible afternoon connecting with so many talented industry professionals. It was a pleasure to see everyone networking, enjoying the delicious canapés by the lovely Woodfired Weddings, mocktails, tea and coffee.

A huge thank you to our brilliant speakers: Valerie Shakerley who talked us through Tredudwell’s rich and interesting history, Ashleigh Fletcher from Hair From The Heart, for her inspiring and knowledgeable tips for how to approach the Gen Z couple and leading venue consultant, Hazel Parsons who discussed how to drive your wedding business forward and grow.

We were treated to some jazzy live music by The Swing Empire.

We had some wonderful wedding suppliers attend and showcase their brilliant businesses.

Its been a while...
Its been a while since we connected, chatted, relaxed, spent time working on our businesses rather than in our businesses. Let's face it, its been a busy year?!

With November comes time, time to pause, time to re-access, time to go on holiday, time to evaluate what's worked and what could have gone better. Its also a time to develop your supply chain, reconnect with businesses that you cross refer with and forward plan.

Hello Friday! It's about time we did a little update on our consultancy projects for 2025. Its been a great year so far!

What an absolute hidden gem 💎. This was the outlook from one of consultancy meetings this week. Breathtaking...!

During the consult, I could completely imagine couples experiencing the *wow* as they walk out from the house and realise that a wedding infront of the lakes is completely possible.

It instantly made me feel excited for the venue and the owners journey ahead.

The journey ahead will take a good deal of time, money, energy, excellent planning and ex*****on, a team of talented people and suppliers, a lot of hardwork 💪 but ultimately will deliver the most incredible venue for couples to enjoy and a great wedding business for the owners to manage.

Looking forward to every part of it.
