📢 HEATWAVE UPDATE: IMPORTANT INFO FOR TODAY'S APPOINTMENTS ☀️🥵
To all my lovely clients with appointments today: I’ve been safely tucked away in an air-conditioned clinic for the hot days so far this week, but today I am back out on the road visiting you all!
Because it is still absolutely scorching, your dog's safety is my absolute priority. To ensure we keep everyone safe and comfortable during our mobile sessions, please note the following:
💧 Please ensure your dog has fresh, cool water available throughout our session. We will be taking extra breaks and will stop immediately if your pet shows any signs of struggling with treatment. I am first aid trained but I really don't want to practice my skills!!!!
⚠️ If you have elderly, flat-faced, or overweight pets, please be aware they are at a much higher risk of heat distress. You may need to take additional steps to keep them cool e.g. fans, cooling mats etc. or you may need to cancel your session.
❌ Cancellations: If you feel your dog will not cope with a session, please contact me ASAP. I will cancel or reschedule your appointment free of charge. If you are unsure, I strongly urge you to err on the side of caution.
I love treating your pups, but I will never risk their health and welfare for the sake of a single physio session. It is simply not worth it.
🚨 A QUICK RACHEL SURVIVAL GUIDE: 🚨
While we are focusing on keeping the dogs cool, your travelling physio is going to feel the heat tomorrow after a week of luxury AC! If you happen to have a spare glass of tap water when I arrive, this will officially get you on the favourites list! Also, given the sheer volume of water I will be needing to drink to stay functioning while driving between appointments, I might need to politely ask to use your loo a little more often than usual - the joys of being a mobile practitioner!
Thank you in advance for saving my life! 🤣🚽
Stay cool, everyone! 🧊
Thank you,
Rachel 🐾
