Welcome to Millennium PAT Services, allow me to introduce my business and share the following information which will give you an insight as to who I am, my objectives, levels of testing, level of customer service.
My customer charter: -
A new business born out of the misfortunes and new opportunities of the pandemic the loss of a business, a change of direction, a new start, invest, retrain, qualify and begin.
I am qualified in both the basic PAT training course and at PAT level 3, both CPD certified, certificates can be seen on request. I am also fully DBS checked and have my own P.L. & P.I. insurance.
My objective is to help make sure local businesses, schools and organisations comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, thus ensuring appliances in the working environment are safe for all staff and customers.
Please remember business or organisation owners without a record of safety measures will be liable in the event of an accident and may fail a claim on insurance without proof of safe practices. An up-to-date record will aid any insurance claims and also avoid nasty fines.
Significant investment in equipment enables me to do a variety of tests including 240v appliances, 110v plant equipment, IT equipment and microwaves for emissions testing.
As with my previous retail business I believe customer service is the key to any successful business and I will work hard to provide the best service, not only meeting but exceeding customer expectations, making sure the customer is aware of what is happening at every stage of the process. It would also be beneficial for both parties if the appliances and equipment to be tested are readily accessible, this would save time and limit any disruption to your busy day and my schedule.
What I will provide: -
• A thorough examination of your portable electrical appliances both 240v and 110v this will comprise of a visual check of plugs, fuses, cables and the appliance itself, followed by a systematic check on my PAT testing equipment.
• I will also highlight any issues with wall sockets, cracks, burns etc. for repair by a qualified electrician. I cannot make any repairs to or test any hard-wired electrical equipment.
• Plugs and fuses will be replaced where necessary, all fuses are free but there is a small charge for the supply and wiring of plugs and re-wiring of any current plugs.
• All tested appliances will have a pass/fail label attached; all failed items will be decommissioned unless the item is to be sent for repair.
• A log of all tested appliances and a certificate of compliance will be supplied.
• Microwave emissions test adhesive pass/fail label.
• A full set of reports, item inventory, test results and a detailed invoice for all works carried out.
• Furthermore, you will not have to worry about further testing appointments, as I will contact you each year 4 weeks before your PAT testing is due with a new agreement.
