As we prepare for our Fine Art and Antiques Auction in a couple of weeks time, we are opening up our Online Valuation slots.

Items we are looking to value include:

✔️ Fine art
✔️ Silver
✔️ Ceramics
✔️ Jewellery and Watches
✔️ Works of Art

Items can be anything from the 16th Century through to the modern period.

Simply head over to our website (www.elstob.co.uk), click Valuations, Online Valuations and enter your items details along with pictures.

Our expert valuation team will then be in touch to discuss your item in more detail and provide a valuation 😊

Bidding at our auctions couldn’t be easier! Here are 4 ways you can get involved in our upcoming Summer Fine Sale 👇

1️⃣ Make a Bid in Person

Please register at reception before the auction starts to obtain a unique bidding number. A valid photo ID such as a passport or driver’s licence is required. Once seated, simply raise your number to catch the auctioneer’s attention when bidding.

2️⃣ Leaving a Commission Bid

Can’t make the auction? State the maximum price you are prepared to pay before the start of the auction via our website, by telephone, email, or in person. We will then bid on your behalf at the lowest possible price while taking into account the reserve and competing bids.

3️⃣ Telephone Bidding

If you inform us in advance of the lots you are interested in, we can arrange for one of our saleroom representatives to call you during the sale so you can bid by telephone. Telephone lines must be booked by close of business the day before the auction and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

4️⃣ Internet Bidding

You can place absentee or live bids directly at www.elstob.co.uk with no additional charges.

Our sales are also available via various online bidding platforms (please note surcharges apply). A full list is available to view on our website.

This Ottavio Maria Leoni (Italian 1578-1630) Portrait of a Noblewoman is dated 1600 with remnants of an inscription in ink

Further details of the portrait include:

👉 Black and white chalk on blue paper laid to card
👉 Provenance: B.E & P.W Pleydell-Bouverie, Stisted Hall Farm, Essex (Pleydell-Bouverie is the family name of the Earls of Radnor). Label verso.
👉 With Christies, stencil number 7SPR (Circa 1966) and an old Sothebys chalk mark for April 18th possibly (19)67
👉 With The Rowley Gallery Ltd, London (label verso). Private Collection, North Yorkshire
👉 21.5cm x 15cm
